Food was good and presented nicely. Service was slow but not due to a lack of hustle. Great spot for lunch
The chicken salad was great. Grilled chicken, Napa cabbage, red cabbage, peanuts and tortilla strips. Great texture and an amazing spicy mustard dressing.
Very loud and difficult to have a conversation when the restaurant is busy. Tables are close together.
So my friend and I ordered the Duck, which is a $48 dollar dish. We asked the waiter if it is crispy and he explained that it is one of the favorite dishes and that the leg was crispy...we asked for it to be well done, It came out rare and the waiter should not have given it to us as he knew we wanted well done. We should have sent it back but were very hungry and had been waiting to go to the Erie Grill for the duck for a while and so we didn't send it back. We really should have. The dish was tasteless, absolutely no taste, bland..the duck meat was tuff, and not crispy at all. Would not recommend this.
For the second time in a row, our food here was a disappointment. The French onion soup was so salty it was inedible. The Ceasar salad had almost no dressing on it and was dry and tasteless. THe crab cake and the beet salad were fine, but at these prices, a 50% hit rate is not ok. We won't be back
Food was burned, waited at least 5 minutes before being asked for drink order. Very expensive. Best part of dinner was my dish of vanilla ice cream.
Bright and cold. Beer was skunked. Bartender pretended he didn't notice, then went over the top to make it right. Soup was mid quality

First time trying the Erie Grill! We loved it! The food was excellent & ambience was perfect for a nice quiet date night! Our table over looked the canal & we saw the sunset! Our server, Hannah was fantastic! Friendly & very accommodating. She switched out my husband's mixed vegetables to Brussels sprouts when we told her he loved them! We each had a couple of drinks & talked after dinner. Never felt rushed! We WILL be back soon!
Gabriel the bartender, thank you for being so inviting with a smile upon stopping in! Great happy hour and what an upscale ambiance with even a nice view of the Erie canal. Please do stop into this hotel bar! I did not eat here so I do not know about the food. The bar is very clean!

The restaurant needs to decide if it's a standard hotel restaurant or fine dining - it totally missed the mark on good food. The potato chips were over cooked with French fries still with raw spots. The beet salad had large slabs of fried goat cheese & only a few chunks of beets. The pork schnitzel was pounded too thin & deep friend too long (nearly black in color) - completely inedible. No clue how the kitchen could serve the food & charge the prices. Wine was fine & server friendly.
Needed a quiet cocktail with a couple girlfriends…. This was a perfect spot! Gabriel was our bartender/server/ man about town! He made our evening very enjoyable. Friendly and thoughtful with wonderful customer service! You’re an asset Gabriel!!
