We picked this place as our holiday dinner location and could not be more happier. Chris our waiter was top notch and very professional, those that assisted him we just as attentive to our needs.

The food was the perfect serving sizes, as a group we had the Amish Airline Chicken Brest, Tenderloin and the Short Ribs which all enjoyed!

We look forward to spreading the word to others about how great this restaurant is!

We had a very good dinner at Richardson's Canal House! The house itself is super cute and I enjoyed the atmosphere more than I was expecting! We chose to sit outside under the tent which was also a nice atmosphere because you could (sort of) see the canal. The waitress was good, but they got very busy and some things took a while, but we didn't mind since we were enjoying our night. The entrees were very good, but very traditional. I would say the star was the dessert offerings. If you are looking for a fancy and traditionally fancy meal, you should go to Richardson's Canal House!

Dining outside is a real treat in the summer and this is a great location. We desperately needed fans to provide some breeze and ward off the plentiful bugs. It was difficult to have a conversation under the tent as the noise level from other diners was over the top.

Vegetarian options: A couple of very nice vegitarian options

very very disappointing. service was not terrible but not attentive and way too few visits to the table. The food was a mix of mediocre to terrible. I was really surprised at the poor quality of preparation. We had two kids with us, one got the steak which was obviously sous vide but either not seared at the end or not seared hot enough, it was nasty, poor texture and tasted not good enough for a very hungry kid who loves steak to eat more than a couple of bites. the only vegetarian option was a pasta or salad. Two of us got the "Slow roasted leg of lamb." I cannot recommend that dish. it comes with no vegetable, and was a pile of unappetizing under seasoned shredded meat with a drizzle of yogurt sauce. I subbed the baked potato for the couscous that came with the meal, it was a steamed potato in aluminum foil with the texture of a microwaved potato, did not come with butter but rather with watered down sour cream. We ordered a dozen oysters, they were dry and full of pieces of broken shell. every. single. one. we didn't complain simply because there were too many complaints and it was late and we were hungry. The only dish anyone really liked was the korean beef. The wine list was extensive, that's about all I could recommend about this restaurant. Very sad as it used to be a wonderful Rochester staple for fine dining once upon a time. it seems like whomever is preparing the food had no input into the menu, and no experience preparing the type of food. It also felt like far too many corners were cut to save money. Absolutely abysmal value.

The staff helped make our anniversary extra special. Lovely seating outside, excellent food (I had the Mexican Street Corn Gnocchi, yum), and a really nice evening. Thank you!

Stopped in for dinner - seated outside. Waiter took our drink orders and then we sat for over 20 mins, no drinks, no acknowledgement, no taking our dinner order. Another couple seemed to have similar issue with our waiter. Another waiter finally brought 1 drink - and it wasn’t correct. We got up and left. Worst service ever. That waiter needs to be fired and we will never go back!

Fun history to learn about this place, great service, friendly staff, delicious food, neat cocktails and the bartender made a perfect mocktail for me and cozy atmosphere! Plus, they added a candle on my mom's dessert for her birthday!
