One of my favorite diners on LI and the best in Plainview. Never have been disappointed with any order. Omelettes, paninis, and burgers have all been amazing and are a good portion size. The waiters and staff are always very friendly and welcoming.

Diner itself needs a make over. Even tho the place seemed clean and an attendant was attentive to cleaning up tables and plates, the furniture was run down and dated. Same for the women’s room. The counter around the bathroom was chipped and rust and.. but paper towels, soap and tp were readily available, along with a automatic dispenser for a fresh sent. The place is under New Management, for how long I don’t know, so hopefully they’ll soon make the needed upgrades. With that said, arriving at noon, there was a good amount of staff for such a small place. We were greeted and sat immediately. The Server arrived to our table promptly for drink orders. Since we had a busy morning and no time for breakfast, we decided on coffee, omelettes with hash browns, rye toast and a side of corned beef hash. The coffee was a bit rough for me. I prefer a smoother coffee (not a Dunkin or 7-11 fan), but my hubby who adds cream & sugar thought it was fine. Our omelettes arrived very quickly. They were cooked perfectly, no browning, and their fillings were plentiful in the full sized omelette. They were worth the visit and the money. The hash browns were done perfectly too! Crisp, brown, but looked fresh, not like they sat on the grill just waiting for someone to order. They were nicely seasoned as well. The corned beef hash unfortunately, was returned and a request to remove from the bill was asked. I could hear they were not pleased with my request, speaking excitedly and loudly, but they did grant my request. We order corned beef hash frequently. Some places make it better than others (too fatty a product, or too much chopped onions can ruin a good corned beef hash); this spot had it swimming in grease! It was crispy in places, but the dish it was in was soaked in grease. Was this left to sit on the grill?! To make matters worse, the flavor was lacking. No point in making ourselves ill from the grease and not enjoy the taste of it.I don’t live in the area, so I won’t be back, but Im not sure if I would or wouldn’t go back if I lived in the area…Parking: Plenty of free parking spots in a strip Mall parking lot. Handicap spots available near the entrance of the diner.Kid-friendliness: Booths and tables for the kiddos. Probably high chairs, but no games for them.Wheelchair accessibility: Located on the main level from a parking lot. Vestibule btwn front door and inner door is small, but I believe they open so as to provide direct access to inside, which is all one level, including the large wheelchair accessible bathrooms with safety bars near the toilets.

Food is terrible. No taste and has the after taste of a skillet that hasn’t been cleaned. Left the food and never came

I visited a friend's house because it was close by. I liked that the food wasn't salty and all the food was light. After an hour, the staff felt a bit rushed, perhaps due to lack of space, but they weren't rude. The food was superb.

Prior to the new management Blue Angel never charged for credit card usage. Now under new management Blue Angel is ripping off customers who use DEBIT BANK CASH CARDS. Banks pay on Debit cards immediately. So you charge for the use of a credit card as though it were a regular credit card which they are not. You get immediate cash from the bank. Then you charge an extra fee as though it were a regular credit card. You, sir are stealing money from customers. You will hear from Consumer Affairs. Also, you lost me.

Good food and great service, also there are plenty of tables or diner booth to choose, and a lot of specials like a lot. For example from 7 am to 11 am there are breakfast specials and then from 11 am to 3 pm there are lunch specials and finally if you guess it, there are dinner specials that comes with soup or salad, potato and vegetable and a dessert. Uber eats is also available.

Breakfast is so delicious as is the rich hot coffee. Service was instant and the food came quickly which is a good thing when you're hungry. We had the pancakes with sausage and cheese omelette with bacon. My husband is still saying this is the best breakfast he's had from a diner in a long time. I have to agree. The pancakes were fluffy with a hint of vanilla. The omelette was stuffed and hot. The server was friendly and attentive A definite place to return to for good food

Visited for lunch while in town for an event. I had the chicken w/bacon on pita and my friend had the tuna fish salad. We both enjoyed our meals very much. We were impressed with the portion size and quality. Everything was delicious!

We visited this diner for the first time today and I was extremely disappointed. The food was good but when I got the bill I realized that I was charged 1.50 for 3 cups of hot water. The manager told me that I was charged for using the cups. We dine out all the time and I have NEVER paid for hot water! The manager had poor customer service skills and had the nerve to ask me if I eat in restaurants when I dine out. I would never go back or recommend this diner to anyone. Shame on them for being rude and petty!

Many of the diners in Plainview have closed over the years, but Blue Angel has stood the test of time. The food is classic diner fare with an extensive menu. I got the chicken salad platter, which was a massive portion of chicken salad, cole slaw, potato salad, and some veggies. It was all really tasty! My dad got the unpictured turkey dinner which he said was the best diner turkey dinner he's had in a long while. The service was quick and friendly. The ambiance is old school diner - so lots of plates moving quickly and locals meeting up to connect. We love Blue Angel and will definitely be back again.

First time for me with the new owners tonight. Definitely the last time. I ordered a cheeseburger deluxe, medium rare. She repeated it to me. It came out like a hockey puck. Tasteless dry disgusting couldn't even eat it. My wife's burger was supposed to be medium was also overdone and disgusting. $30 for two hamburgers that were horrible. Never again.
