Don't have a problem with owner or the food but some of the people working are rude, unprofessional, and racist. Mocking and giggling at POCs for using coupons, right in front of their faces is unacceptable behavior in the customer service industry. Especially in such a diverse town such as ours.

Occasionally when I drop off my laundry I visit Duchess for a cookie. I would give Duchess a solid 3.5 stars. Sometimes the cookies taste a bit cold, even though they are kept under a light. The reviews about Duchess's cookies are accurate, as they are indeed quite big and have a slightly doughy texture. It seems like that's the intention behind them, and despite that, I still find the taste enjoyable. Out of all the cookies they offer, my absolute favorite is the Red Velvet White Chocolate Cheesecake Cookie. Additionally, I also enjoy their energy elixirs. I can't remember the exact one I had, but it had a purple color. Every cashier I have encountered has been extremely kind. The interior of the shop is of average size, but it is decorated vibrantly, which adds to the overall experience.

Got the following cookies: They currently have - buy 6 get 1 free Churro cookie with nutella filling (2nd fav) Cookie monster w chocolate chip filling Red velvet with cream cheese filling. Oreo with chocolate brownie filling (my favorite) Sea salt caramel pretzel with caramel filling Chocolate lovers cookie with dark chocolate filling Unicorn cookies with strawberry cheesecake filling. I didn't get to try all the cookies since I shared them with my kiddos, and they loved what I got. The cookies itself are big, and I'd recommend you have them with a glass of milk. The girl behind the counter was very helpful. I noticed they have cookies that contain nuts separate from the ones without, and when I ordered the churro nutella, she had used a different tong. I would def come back to try all the other flavors for sure.

First of all, upon walking inside, the place is adorable and smells like fresh cookies! I had Sophia helping me with the choices and descriptions, shes so sweet, welcoming and patient... The cookies were heavenly, sooo good. Soft, warm and loaded with different flavors. They had at least 15 different choices. A little on the expensive side, but it's worth it. Highly recommended

I am now sitting here with a disgusting taste in my mouth. Look at the reviews. Whoever makes these cookies isn't tasting these cookies. You've got a handful of other reviews, that say "taste like Play-Doh (not that I've ever eaten Play-Doh) but I could imagine that's what it would taste like !! Someone else wrote "uncooked cookie dough" And if that's the case, it's bad uncooked cookie dough.. someone brought the cookies to us & we tried five different types of cookies. It's not only the weird consistency but a cookie shouldn't leave a bad taste in your mouth. My girlfriend gave me these cookies and I'm debating whether we should continue to go out.

I've given this establishment a 3-star rating because, while I absolutely love their cookies, I must acknowledge some shortcomings in customer service, echoing the sentiments of many comments here. My loyalty to Duchess Cookies dates back to their Chelsea location, and since their arrival on the island, the Plainview store has been my frequent go-to. Now, to the core of my review: On this particular occasion, I assumed their closing time was 9/10pm, as I usually go on a Thursday/Friday. Arriving at 7:55 pm, I was met with a locked door and the realization that they closed at 8 pm. Undeterred, I attempted to get the attention of the lady behind the counter. Despite my efforts, she not only ignored me but also shook her head in refusal when I knocked on the window. This left me and my son disheartened. While I understand the proximity to closing time, I believe any retail store should adhere strictly to its closing hours. In this instance, they missed out on potential business for a transaction that would have taken less than 5 minutes, well within their 8 pm closing time. I order a minimum of at least 12 cookies and have a list of my usuals.
