Every time I come here the food never fails to put a smile on my face, delicious and filling

We went to Family Bagels on our trip to Long Island. Not only the bagels were the most delicious we had in a long time, the most impressive part was the owners talking to every customer.
We really appreciated the owner coming to our table and genuinely asking if everyone was enjoying and how was everyone doing....this is something the food service business lacks in this day and age.
Can't wait to visit Family Bagle on our next trip.

Brought my client to here for her flagels .. she says she has been coming to y'all for years

I was very touched by the owner being present in the store and his kindness towards everyone. Someone ordered something wrong on accident so he gave it for free to another customer. He also got these new flavor straws to sell and said he was going to try one to see how it tastes so he can give an honest review to customers which I thought was very important. He also got these new packaged baklava and tried it to see how it tasted. He offered it to everyone around including my mom to try. I was just so taken back by this man’s easy ability to make everyone around feel so welcome. Overall, this man really showed what it’s like to be at a deli and the food was great.

Family Bagel…when you are here, you are Family!

Ya know, at least once a week I drive into Plainview to to my favorite bagel 🥯 and sandwich 🥪 shop, and while I have written reviews for so many restaurants I visit, I have never taken the time to write about Family Bagel 🥯 even thought it’s close to my heart. Shame on me!

So, here I wanna set the record straight. Family Bagel is so much more than just a great bagel 🥯 shop. It is a community icon that gives so much to its patrons and the town they call home.

It is truly a family business! And I am proud to a be loyal customer for over 20 years. When you become a regular, you get to know the Schatt family and you are welcomed each time you enter the door ( kinda like Norm entering the bar at Cheers!). You get to know them, and they get to know you! It’s what a real local business is all about!

At Family Bagel, 🥯, they’re always trying something new, something that makes them stand out from all the other bagel 🥯 stores in the area and around Long Island. Whether it’s rainbow 🌈 bagels 🥯, pretzel 🥨 bagels, Lo-Carb bagels 🥯 and flagels, black and white bagels. 🥯 (… the list goes on and on) or the fantastic homemade salads 🥗 , cream cheeses 🧀 , soups 🥣 , breakfast 🍳 sandwiches 🥪, the extensive selection of hot 🥵 and cold 🥶 flavored coffees ☕️, or the delicious bakery items, you will find your passion to satisfy your hunger. My favorite is the Philly Cheese 🧀 steak 🥩! It’s huge, flavorful, and so damn good! 🥖

Family bagel gives back in big ways. They support local charities, sports 🏀 teams, high school 🏫 involvement endeavor, and so much more. It is why they have been awarded business of the year from the community.

As they go, they grow! Expanding their reach with their new Family Bagel Food truck ready to bring the party to you wherever your destination needs. I can only imagine the party possibilities.

I highly recommend Family Bagel to those looking for quality food with a personal touch. Go introduce yourself to Neal, Roe, & Michael Schatt and the entire staff and you’ll quickly understand what Family is all about. Go treat yourself.

I think their slogan says it best… “Come in a Stranger, Leave as Family.”

The cucumber salad is fantastic however I don't think it's worth 28.00 for 2 lbs! Utterly ridiculous and ridiculously expensive. Definitely will not be going back any time soon.

100000/10 DEFINITELY GO! I moved to town in October and have gone to Family Bagel atleast twice a week since 🙈 the iced coffee is TOOOO good!! So many flavors! & I genuinely don’t know what’s better their breakfast sandwiches 🥯 or lunch 🥪 - everything is DELICIOUS 🔥🔥 Mike & the entire staff are all SO kind keeping customers coming back - they know everyone by name & go out of their way to make you feel like family! (Ex he gave me a cookie platter when he found out we were hosting Easter - the BEST!)

Place is a 1000/10. Every staff member seems to be very welcoming!! I got a breakfast sandwich, chips and an iced coffee and it was all good and fresh. My new favorite local place. :)

The egg everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese delivered the perfect balance of spice and creaminess, while the tuna sandwich on a roll with cranberries was an unexpected but delicious combination, adding just the right amount of sweetness.

The iced coffees were another standout. The Funny Bunny and Grammy were smooth, refreshing, and packed with flavor, making them the perfect addition to the meal.
