I called on 4/3 and spoke with Brian at the Plainview store to place a catering order that was to be delivered on the morning of 4/6. The only positive experience was that the delivery driver was true to his word and at the Long Island Hilton by 5:45am. I ordered the continental breakfast with fruit and added the dessert tray for an additional $34.99. Per their website it is supposed to have an assortment of mini black and white cookies, rugalach, rainbow cookies and lintzer cookies. The breakfast was to come with muffins (very dry), danishes, bagels, cream cheese, butter, jelly, fruit salad, coffee, orange juice, and paper goods. I did not receive the additional $35 dessert platter, nor did they provide us with plates, or forks. Thankfully the Hilton had no issues with supplying us with plates and forks. I did call the Plainview store that morning and was told by a manager that Brian no longer works there and that I received everything I ordered and that they don't make black and white cookies. I did not receive everything I ordered, and if you don't make black and white cookies update your website because it's false advertising. Overall, I was very disappointed with the fact that I paid $35 for an item I didn't receive then when called out on it was lied to. How difficult would it have been for that manager to just issue a refund for the missing platter? Instead of doing the right thing, he just blew me off and has lost a customer.

Excellent bagels, my go to for breakfast sandwiches. Coffee is ok, but the cups are terrible - don't take the little free orange juice with the breakfast sandwiches, they taste terrible - like pickles.

Aside from a young lady and young man who work who's always been courteous the rest of the staff are not very helpful, also ordering over the phone is sometimes so ridiculous. I get food here all the time & when i call it's either they are swamped with doing multiple things that they can't handle or are just that aggravated that they have to say hold on and hang up haha . You guys have to do better you would think this is a demanding job

Wow. I discovered this place a month ago (Farmingdale location). I've since ordered egg sandwiches, chicken wraps, soups and salads....their coffee is really good. I'd go there just for the coffee. So far everything I've ordered from here has been absolutely delicious. It's also nice to sit outside and watch small aircraft flying by from nearby Republic airport. I didn't know this is a recently opened second location. Regardless, I'm glad I found it --good deli and a friendly staff. Keep up the good work.

Since my last review the store is unfortunately getting worse. The staff is disorganized and uncaring. The deli is getting dirty and dingy. My advise to the owner is to pay these people better and get rid of the worse ones. Please get off your butt and save Gold and Meyer. Right now your deli stinks!!

Highly recommend Gold & Meyer's Gourmet Deli for feeding a bride and her bridesmaids and the groom and his groomsmen on WEDDING mornings! We ordered bagels, muffins, coffee, cream cheeses, macaroni, tuna and egg salads for the morning prep on my daughter's wedding day, and the food was FANTASTIC! The woman who took our order on 9/29/23 was very professional and thoughtful and careful with our order. She wanted to make sure it was perfectly written up! She suggested trays for the bagels and muffins. When we picked up the order, we were thrilled to see that they had sliced the bagels and muffins and had arranged them nicely on trays! The arrangement of the muffins was actually quite artistic and fancy, which we loved! And the order was perfect! The food was fresh and delicious and very much appreciated by the wedding party!! Soooo happy we chose this deli!
Ordered a egg salad on bagel. Not happy at all. Large chunks of egg whites and hardly any on the bagel. Premium price for a whole lot of nothing. Not going back
