This was a large group business meeting event in their event space. There was no service per se other than at the bar and the food was buffet. The room was good and the food was surprisingly good given the nature of these type of events. The vegetables were well cooked, the chicken was moist and the beef was medium rare to medium.

Accidentally stumbled across this restaurant traveling to upstate NY for the solar eclipse and it was GREAT. Food was tasty - get the Reuben! Happy hour is a must. Two for one. We had Jay the waiter who was super friendly, comical, and had a lot of menu suggestions to share! We had a dog with us and they were able to open the patio for us. Jay the waiter brought out water for our dog without us asking! The manager came out, I cannot remember his name, but very welcoming and a pleasure to speak with! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stop by! What an experience! Highly recommend.

We ordered a variety of sandwiches offered on the lunch menu for take out. The sandwiches came with soup, salad and chips. We worked with Ms.Cayea a few weeks before our event to place the order. She was professional and very helpful. She coordinated with the Chef who prepared outstanding & delicious food for our party. I would give them 10 stars!!! My guests were thrilled and very full. Thanks Butcher Block!!

Because I was elderly and alone, the young man who was host seated me in a glaringly bright, noisy bar area. The very idea of food there was VERY unappetizing. Yuck!The host denied me seating in the appropriately lit (and logical) dining room. Even though I told him I did not want to sit in the bar.I was polite and well-dressedThis young male host thought he could decide I was **not good enough** to sit where normal people sit - and like to sit.There is a word for that treatment of the elderly. And it happens to be a serious violation of New York State Law.I won't bother. I have patronized Butch Block many times since 2003. I will NEVER be back.It was such a relief to just walk out and go to the Texas Roadhouse in Plattsburgh, so much brighter, cheerier, full of happy people, where I always get treated with respect, including as a military vet.As for the Butcher Block - well, in general, trash is as trash does. 'Nuff said.

My first time going here. Been wanting to for a long time. Well worth the two hour drive from VT. Definitely will be back. I ordered way too much food because I wanted to try different things. Totally had plenty of food with just the salad bar and soup. But enjoyed my steak and shrimp cocktail the next day and just as delicious as the one bite I took of each at the restaurant. And every plate that went by me looked delicious as well. The atmosphere was fun. Was there on a Monday for lunch but was pretty busy. Around the bar was full with what appeared to be regulars all chatting and enjoying themselves and the game that was on the TV's. The alcoholic beverage I got was so yummy!! I definitely could see myself going often if I was a local and plan to get others to go with me in the future.
