we had a wonderful dinner. it was relaxed and we didn't feel rushed. Our waitress was very friendly and the service was excellent.

Good docking for visiting boaters. Short staffed at this time of year but good service considering. Very good pub food! Great view.

I came here with high expectations, but once seated at the table it was like the waitress forgot all about us. We sat there for almost a half an hour until we finally had to say something. Once we said something to her she apologized and said could she get us some drinks to make things right. After we said yes that would be great they actually did not comp us the drinks and charged us on our bill. Additionally, the fish and chips were not good at all. The fish was overcooked, hard as a rock, and had to be dipped in copious tartar sauce just to get it down. The same fish was used in the fish tacos, but slightly better there because there was more stuff to cover it up. To be fair, the rest of the taco fixings were quite tasty. I might give it one more chance just because I had heard some good things about the place, it's possible we just hit on a bad night.

Outstanding!!!! Salmon dish here. Fresh,delicious, everything cooked perfectly. Off the beating path in plattysburg but. What a treat !

We tried to stop for dinner here on our way to Plattsburgh, and the hostess took one look at our group with kids and said they wouldn’t have room for us, despite multiple empty tables and other groups being seated without reservations. Don’t bring a family here.

We're vacationing here and Castaway on the Bay was about 10 minutes away.. We made a reservation (encouraged) on Google which was seamless. Arrived on time and were seated immediately inside by a delightful hostess and our order was taken promptly. Our food was wonderful and fairly priced ($$$) for the portions. The only negative was the Atmosphere. Country (?) music was very loud as was the conversation. If we return and the weather is cooperating, we'll sit outside.

Dinner at Castaway On The Bay tonight was so delicious. Bonus, they have a wee playground right next to it where we could have the kids play while we waited for a table on their beautiful deck looking at the Green Mountains. The biggest hit was their pretzel appetizer and pizza, the kids were nuts for them. And that cheese was 👌 I dipped my burger in it. Owners came around to check on everyone and are super personable. Will become a regular date night for us in the future.

Was a very enjoyable time. Staff was polite and helpful. Food was great. Our waitress was nothing short of God. We didn't even have to ask.

Way overpriced. Had fish and chips, was a few pieces of supermarket frozen fish sticks over fries for 30 dollars. One waitress for all tables. She was nice but inattentive so we were never offered refills for our drinks. Margarita was really good.

Jody and her team hit it out of the park. Great atmosphere and service. Hands down the best food on the lake. We will be back

Had a great lunch yesterday at Castaway's !!!! The salad was fresh and the fish 🌮 tacos were outstanding!!!
