This restaurant used to be Duke's Diner, it is now Mel's Diner as of 2024. The seating became comfortable and enhanced when they took out the plastic booths. Food is straightforward, simple, and well made. Coffee could use some help but the food was delicious.?Parking: Parking lot is large, but during busy times i.e. breakfast and lunch hours it fills up fast.Kid-friendliness: It is an open area atmosphere.Wheelchair accessibility: The building and bathrooms are on ground floor.

The decor and layout of the tables was nice, felt clean and not cramped. The servers were very attentive but not fussy. The food wasn't anything spectacular, pretty typical of local diners - but combined with the pleasant atmosphere, Mel's beats a couple of other diners in town.I had the Sausage gravy and biscuits special, which included eggs and sausage for $12.99.
