Today was our first time trying this delightful little gem of a Mexican restaurant. Food was hot, delicious and the portions were HUGE! The staff was super friendly and accommodating as well. Who knew they'd add refried beans to queso if that's what you ordered accidentally? 😂 We are definitely adding El Sol to our monthly rotation as it cost us far less to eat there than it would at a local chain.

I was able to stop in and try El Sol Mexican Kitchen last week and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff and owner were very friendly and helpful and the food was fresh and tasted great! Thank you for an awesome experience!

Wow! Wow! Wow! I was recently surprised with a birthday dinner and pick up catering from El Sol. Literally obsessed with their tortilla chips. Amazing portions, excellent flavors! Definitely adding to my preferred vendor list!

We recently passed through Plattsburgh and gave El Sol a try. Incredible quality and quantity. The meat was tender and the chipotle sauce was perfect. A ferry ticket to cross the lake and my burrito were collectively cheaper than anything other Mexican food around, so I’ll be back.

I’d give this place 10 stars if I could! My wife and I came here for dinner and the portions are very generous! Food tastes phenomenal and the staff is very friendly! This place puts chipotle to shame! Definitely recommend and will be back!!

All employees wear blue gloves, and they handle money and text on their cellphones with those gloves still on. Gross!

If you’re looking for a culinary experience that will haunt your dreams, El Sol is the place for you. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by an ambiance that felt more like a neglected cafeteria than a lively Mexican eatery. The Cholula on display is proof that there is nothing authentic about this place, along with the Americans running it.

The service was painfully slow. It took forever for them to acknowledge us, and when they finally did, it felt like they were doing us a favor by taking our order. Speaking of the order, I was excited for some tacos but ended up with what can only be described as sad, soggy tortillas with an unidentifiable filling that resembled last week’s leftovers.

The salsa was a highlight, if you enjoy a watery concoction that barely alluded to the taste of tomatoes. And don’t get me started on the guacamole—it was more like guac-amo-why? All we could taste was disappointment.

In short, if you enjoy bland food, lackluster service, and an atmosphere that makes you contemplate your life choices, El Sol is for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and skip it. You’ll thank yourself later!

We stopped and ate in after eye appointment. They open for early lunch at 1030! All ingredients were fresh. The woman working the counter was kind and helpful. The El bowls are generous made to order and warm tortillas and burritos were freshly warmed on grill and served stacked, foil wrapped. We had plenty to take home for later. Awesome place and convenient.

Tacos were swimming in so much grease; it went through the flour tortilla, cardboard box and brown paper bag.

Online order ready quickly! The portions are more than generous! We ordered a plate of Pulled Pork Nachos topped to our liking and the three beef tacos..we only ate half! You get what you pay for, I suggest a dish to share and a side... Everything is very tasty and welcoming staff. There are 3-4 tables for indoor dining and 2 outside. Latin music in the background.
