Food was good. Service was great. We had a good time with a group of friends and the location was very accommodating. It was Martini Wednesday, hence we had a great time.

I have to preface by saying our experience has nothing to do with our server. She was absolutely fabulous, and we were sure to tip her exponentially despite our poor experience. We stopped here for dinner Saturday night and ordered 2 cocktails, a tuna appetizer, and 2 salads. However, we immediately refused the salads upon discovering they were served on filthy, grimy plates. I could literally scratch the filth and built up residue with my finger and was absolutely disgusted. After calling our server over, I tipped her in cash and politely sent back our $20 salads, all to be hit with the remainder of the bill and no explanation from upper management or owner. I’m glad my $60 went towards dirty plates! BEWARE

Since we were here three times over a two day stay in Plattsburgh. The first evening I had Alfredo with chicken - very tender and beautiful sauce and my friend had pork schnitzel with a lovely sauce as well. It was obvious that this was prepared by chefs, not cooks! We had brunch the next day - eggs benny (the chefs special that day) and a quesadilla- both great. So back we went for dinner. I had shrimp linguine in a lemon butter sauce and my friend had a steak au poivre cooked perfectly. Wish this place was in our neighborhood at home. PS - try the roasted Brussels sprouts - a tasty appetizer!

The food was decent, but the restaurant itself is a bit run down and service was slow.

4 of us sat outside on Cinco De Mayo. The live band was across the street. Food is outstanding. The wait staff is clever and pays attention. I have been here before and I know know exactly what to expect.Parking: Street parking is usually available. We used the free section of the city lot. 1/2 block away.

What happened here? So disappointing. Used to very munch enjoy dinning here. Sometimes more than once a week. Last several times we went the food and overall ambiance has been pretty mediocre. Valentine's Day was a bit of a mess. $39 steak with brooms and mops in full view and tacky decorations. Menu badly needs updating and food quality could certainly be improved. With so few restaurants in town, the decline of Irises is especially disappointing. Perhaps it's the fact that there are so few restaurants that resulted in a bit of neglect? Maybe we'll go again for lunch, but not dinner.
