What an excellent Hibachi experience!!! The appetizers and dinner were outstanding. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. The place was crowded, but there were no delays with service or quality. The chef put on quite an entertaining show, and everything was cooked to perfection (had the hibachi seafood combo). Prices were as expected for the quality and quantity of food. So if you're in Plattsburgh and want Japanese food, it's worth a stop...
We had the chef cook in front of us. The shrimp tempura appetizer was the best I have had in a while. The batter was extremely crisp and crunchy. The steak and shrimp on the grill were very flavorful. The dipping sauces supplied were a bit different and disappointing. I wouldn't particularly call them Japanese sauces. It's best to reserve a place at the hot plate in advance. We only got a place by luck. You have to keep in mind that in the restaurant you are expected to take something from the hot plate. Actually only one of three of us wanted something from the record but then there had to be at least two of us. The food was okay, but actually it was just the show that made up the price.
