Tried having dinner here last night with a small group of friends around 8pm. We were told by the bartender to sit anywhere in the dining area we liked and someone would be out to see us. A server came to the adjacent table three times to wait on them and returned to the bar to fold napkin forks. We waited for about fifteen minutes, we never got a menu or spoke to anyone beyond the initial interaction. Another group came in, also got no interaction, and left, and we took the cue to head out too. It felt like they just didn't want us there.

Came out to St Plattysday and was appalled at the prices they were charging for their drinks. $16 for two draft Modelo's?!?!? Thats absurd!!!

We picked a great time to show up for dinner. Almost no crowds. Only did appetizers and drinks but would definitely show up for a full meal. We had, bbq wings, loaded beer cheese and bacon Fry's and a chicken quesadilla.

Love the staff here; front end, bouncers, bar staff & kitchen staff. Their chef/cook Katy is WONDERFUL. The entire staff treats you like family and friends.

I’ve never left a negative review before, but tonight was so outrageous that I feel absolutely compelled to speak up. I was kicked out of this jazz bar – not for being loud, not for being rude – but for politely asking for earplugs because the music was painfully loud.
The staff showed zero understanding, zero respect, and zero professionalism. Instead of responding to a perfectly reasonable request with any form of decency, they acted dismissive, arrogant, and ultimately threw us out like we were a problem. I’ve never in my life been treated so poorly in any venue, ever.
If you value good service, respectful treatment, and a place where you’re actually welcome – steer clear. There are far better venues in the city with better music, better atmosphere, and most importantly, people who actually know how to treat guests like human beings.
Never. Ever. Again.

This place is some of the worst places I’ve ever been. Me and some friends went to listen to jazz, and it was pretty loud and we forgot earplugs. I went to the bar and asked if he had any, and they went sooo mad. They sent out the whole group, and laughed at us on the way out, like they wanted to start a fight.

I didn't eat anything, but, folks were there eating, listening to all of us singing karaoke!!. I had a blast. First time in many years. I'm so glad I went there to start my performance journey. Ty to DJM!! I'll try some food next time.

I've been to this place and The Naked Turtle about 10 times over the past several years, and there is nothing but disappointment and despair. Several of the visits included audible grumbling by the employees about their boss, and they just seemed completely miserable. Additionally, the prices are comically high, and they also have the gall to charge a cover charge for whatever crappy cover band they have playing. Most recently, I was trying to be a good samaritan, and return lost property to someone who lost their property at another bar. I went to all of the bars in the downtown core, and this is the only one where the bouncers were completely rude and absolutely worthless in helping me find the person I was looking for. Regardless, the locals know this place is a dump for a reason.
