I love that this place is here, and grateful that Plattsburgh has a club with a decent sound system and layout... but unfortunately, they fall short on the DJ experience...
There's this huuge stage on the main floor, but it's empty ...and yet, if you stick-around long enough to notice, wayyyy up on dark and sectioned-off mezzanine, there's a hidden DJ.
It's as if seeing the person curating the musical experience isn't important. Why even have a DJ if they're obscured? The joy of live performance is seeing and respecting the artist, the person who is curating to the crowd, to you. Why leave the stage empty when there's an engaged performer in the house effortfully and artfully creating the atmosphere? House is about the dance floor being shared, the collective vibe!
This could be an amazing space for DJs to perform, but the current set-up doesn't accommodate. Great spot, but falling short on respecting artists and affording them their collaborative experience, it seems.

I really wanted to leave a five star review. This is certainly the best dance venue in town. Fair warning, though, gays don't seem very welcome. This came up as the top search result for a gay bar in the area, but based on the pics, we figured it would be more of a gay friendly establishment. Nope. We danced up a storm, and most of the crowd seemed cool with it, but as we were leaving, a large group started booing us, and the police had to escort us out.
