Dropped by the Twisted Carrot as it was on my list of places to try. The restaurant has a great bar made of what looks like reclaimed wood along with industrial pipe shelving. The overall atmosphere and guide was brilliant. We started with the sweet potato deviled eggs and we had to order a second batch because they were so good. I had the Reuben, which was one of the best Rubens I’ve ever had and my partner had the Philly, which was really good. At least the bite she allowed me to have. We ended it with the banana carrot cake which came out sitting on the frosting with candied walnuts, and it was warm and it was out of this world. I want to go again in the evening and try their dinner menu.

Great lunch experience! Loved the PANZANELLA Salad with chicken. The MOO MOO DIPPERS were also an app that I truly enjoyed! The burgers were good, I did feel that the bottom bun was a bit on the soggy side though. Overall, great cozy spot to stop for lunch!

In Plattsburgh on a business trip and I asked the subreddit what restaurants they recommended. It was an overwhelming response to come here and it did not disappoint! The Chocolate Upside-down Cake is an absolute must, my god. I'm going to dream of it until I can get it again. I also love the daily rotating deviled egg. Such a fun idea and the Bloody Mary eggs were pretty good! Our server was also great! She had a good vibe, and the rest of the staff seemed to as well! Highly recommend to anyone visiting or local to Plattsburgh 👍

I recently tried Twisted Carrot and sampled a few of their standout dishes:
Not Your Philly – served as an open-face sandwich, the bread was perfectly crunchy and the Philly filling was absolutely mouthwatering.
Is Your Name Reuben – packed with generous slices of meat, hearty and satisfying.
Lamb Burger – incredibly juicy, bursting with flavor, and easily a contender for my favorite of the night.
Moo Moo Dippers – decent, a nice side to round out the meal.
It was honestly hard to choose between the Philly, Reuben, and Lamb Burger since each had its own unique appeal.
On top of the food, the service was excellent—friendly and impressively quick.

I have had lunch and 2 dinners now there. Highly recommend the scallops entree, chickpeas/tomatoes stew entree, and the steak entree. My friends love the salmon entree, farmed salmon unfortunately.
Bread starter had 3 breads, the Red Oak bakery bread portion was superior and actually world class, the other one from Klingers in Burlington was just pretty good, and the 3rd one that they baked in-house was totally mediocre a step above a toasted hot dog bun, so not sure why they bothered to bake a loaf of that in house at all. But still - best restaurant in town by a wide margin.
“Not a Phillie” at lunch was delicious, tad on the warm side on edges and French fries were NOT hot and I don’t recommend. Still, good stuff 5 stars in a plattsburgh. This place staff and kitchen is TRYING hard. Respect and kudos. I hope I am making constructive suggestions on how they can be even better.
Eggplant starter is deep deep fried, and tasted best on its bottom layer combined with the tomato paste. The huge heap of just straight deep fried eggplant were fluffy and light ie well executed but felt like a job to eat rather than a joy, and is mostly an example of a healthy ingredient turned unhealthy by deep frying. I don’t remember menu telling me it was deep fried.
Best restaurant in its class in plattsburgh, in a class of its own in Plattsburgh actually. Antony’s is a distant second unfortunately.

Great experience in Plattsburgh. Worth it. Staff started flipping chairs to close at 8:00 pm which, in my opinion, is a little early for the “premier” and probably most expensive restaurant in Plattsburgh. Good experience with coworkers.

Just happened to be in town and stumbled across this gem. Great ambiance, terrific service and food was on point. Absolutely delicious! Would definitely go back if we are in town. Don’t overlook this spot if you are ever in Plattsburgh.

Every bite of the fried eggplant oozed oil. I couldn’t finish the dish and my stomach didn’t feel good. Maybe the oil wasn’t hot enough when they fried it. The person I was with also said the deviled eggs were way too salty

Was there 2 months ago for a second time and it was as expected, very good. Looking at some review it makes me wonder. Some complain about their ribeye being not cooked the way they want. Well as far that I’m concerned if I want a great steak I’ll go in a ‘’real’’ steakhouse. I didn’t have the opportunity to taste their steak and to be honest I won’t order one… Not because of their review but just because they so many great things that you don’t see elsewhere. As a bonus, great smile from the staff. Kudos!
