Valcour was selected because they're in one of the RV programs that shares their parking lot for overnight parking. So now I can have a beer or two and not have to be concerned about driving. Fabulous! As for the location, the historical marker on the outside of this amazing building reads, "Old Stone Barracks. This building was built in 1838. The oldest structure on the base, stands as a witness to many events significant in American military history. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places, February 18, 1971."
On a Saturday night, they were not very busy. I was immediately seated inside (air conditioning!) and a helpful waitress took my order. I spent the rest of the evening sipping beer, people watching, writing Yelp reviews. I also managed to consume some (extremely hot!) fried pickle spears.
Overnight parking was quiet enough and very level. This was a very pleasant stop and I will definitely return when I am back in Plattsburgh!

Posted a poor review a couple of years ago and want to provide an update. Gave this a couple more tries and was pleasantly surprised how much of an improvement there was here. New wait staff is very pleasant and attentive. Service was prompt and food excellent. Not afraid to recommend this pub for lunch or dinner

Blueberry beer and the coffee beer were great! They recently changed their hours and now close at 9pm not 10pm
Great atmosphere. Regulars get treated exceptionally well. Good beer and good food. My default choice when nobody has a place in mind.

This brewery makes some excellent beer - pictured is my favorite of theirs, David's Porter. Brought home a 4 pack - a very smooth drinking porter. Tve food us good as well and is located in the historic section of Plattsburgh.
