Perfect hot, cozy meal and dark beers on a windy, rainy day. Outstanding porter paired beautifully with gooey mushroom mac and cheese. The coffee is HOT and complements the toffee cake with bourbon cream perfectly. All this was served up quickly by super friendly folks. Would happily return for a night at the pub and a sleep at the inn.

While the drinks are great and staff are very pleasant, if you have a gluten allergy (celiac here), beware. While many items are labeled gluten free, there is a high cross contamination risk. For example, there is one fryer for everything, but the fries and poutine are listed as gluten free on the menu. When I asked, they did check and were honest about what goes in there. I had a salad and side of grilled chicken. Based on the transparency about the fryer, I trust that the staff did their best to reduce cross contamination, but I had a reaction regardless. I just don't think the kitchen staff training is fully understanding of what gluten free means - see fryer above as an example. It's a nice vibe and fun environment, I'll likely come back for drinks in the future, but won't be eating here again unfortunately.

Great atmosphere,I'm not good with craft beers but I did enjoy what I was having.

Very beautiful historic building very close to (or in the heart of) the old military base. The neighborhood definitely has a completely different energy than the rest of Plattsburgh. Copper Nails beer is the “flagship” beer and it’s perfect.

Stopped at Valcor for dinner after being in Plattsburgh. The building being from the 1830's made the dining experience a lot more interesting. The food was great as well as the beers. Octoberfest was my beer of choice and it didn't disappoint.

this is a nice place to stay for a while, the environment is very peaceful, quiet, and have a nice view. The restaurant is nice, the beer is like, i like the choice of the beer sample. My dad loves the French fries. He never loves it and so this mean it is really good, keep up your good French fries!. The food is good too. I have a good time here !

Went for a late lunch. What a neat place! Restored military barracks. The atmosphere was lovely, staff very friendly. I sat at the bar. I ordered the 'So Gouda' sandwich and it was SO GOUDA!!! Just delicious! Had a side of sweet potato fries that were also yummy! I ordered the strawberry jam lemonade it was so refreshing for a warm day. Great Lunch. I did order a piece of strawberry rhubarb pie to take home, and I hate to say it, but that was a huge disappointment. But since the rest was so good, not holding it against them! (I am a bit of a pie snob!) I would highly recommend this as a great place to go!

Their payment system went down and they kept seating people without telling them until the check arrived, leaving them to scramble to find cash. Ruined the evening. I have no idea what they did to the people who couldn’t come up with the money. Would have otherwise earned 3 stares. Basic pub food, pub decor and decent beer.
