This was a proper dud. We came after seeing a number of posts on social media about Freddy's and were properly disappointed. Service was fine, but the food was a real letdown. The lag between finishing our appetizers and receiving our main courses was close to 35 minutes. When dinner did arrive, fries were cold and soggy for half of our party, the lasagna special arrived just warmer than room temp, and the 'nice salad' was slightly more exciting than just a bag of shredded iceberg. The manager was nice enough to comp our drinks after sending a new plate of fries and a hot lasagna. Your results may vary, but this is a 1 and done restaurant for us.

The cocktail was too sweet to enjoy. The short rib was cooked well, however the sauce was so salty, it was at times unbearable. Combined with already salty gruyere cheese on potatoes, it was hard to eat. Short bread and key lime pie desserts were just not good.

We recently dined at Freddy's in Pleasantville with high expectations due to the average review rating of 4.7/5. The food was mediocre at best. Tuna tartare lacked flavor and crunch. Pigs in the blanket arrived room temperature and the dough soft and undercooked. Almost as if they were microwaved, left to cool and sent to our table. Buffalo wings were meaty and the best of the three apps, but sauce was minimal and lacking buffalo punch. I ordered the strip steak rare, which arrived medium rare. In addition, It appeared less than the advertised 16oz size. I asked if I could sub out the mashed potatoes for the au gratin. The waitress obliged but later found an extra $5 fee on the bill. I don't mind paying a little extra for the substitution, but the lack of communication left a bad taste in my mouth. NPI. My wife and son ordered the burger. The bun seemed to be a day old and reheated. The meat, bland. Their burgers are advertised as the "best in westchester", but certainly did not live up. My friends had the short rib and salmon dishes. Both portions were inadequate. On a positive note, the house made cocktails were tasty. As was the caramel brownie desert. Service was not over the top, but good nonetheless. Overall, we wish we had a better experience, and would love to recommend, but numerous reasons would prohibit us from doing so. Best of luck moving forward.

We love love love Freddy’s. Our absolute favorite restaurant in town, go at least monthly and never disappoints. Come for the burger, stay for the cottage fries.

Burger was disappointing ? definitely not the "best in Westchester" the patty was overcooked dry and tasted burnt. Almost tasted like the bun was a day old so they grilled it to keep it alive and it ended up just tasting like burt carbon......admittedly I should have sent it back but made the mistake of trying to suffer through.
Onion rings were mediocre although I respect that they make them in house. On a scale 1-10 they were a 6, lacked flavor. Had a similar experience with the deviled eggs, just plain, not a lot of flavor.
We've had other meals here, the french onion short rib is delicious despite the meger portion size and the staff here is very friendly / welcoming.
I'll try Freddy's again but reluctantly. ?

We went to Freddy’s on a recommendation and I’m so glad we did! The food was amazing. We went with all our waiter’s suggestions and he was spot on. Started. With the Arancini which was very creamy in the inside with a nice crunch on the outside , delicious. For our main course the waiter suggested the Tavern burger and the French Onion short rib. My husband said his burger was fantastic and the short rib was one of the best I’ve had. Very flavorful and tender. The potato gratin had a great top layer of cheese that was crispy and the onion rings were also nice and crispy and not greasy at all. We ended the meal with one of my favorites, key lime pie which was perfectly creamy and tart, definitely enjoyed it. They also have a nice drink menu to choose from and place has a nice casual homey vibe to it. Will definitely be back!

Wow! We had the Patty Wagon come to our July 4th block party and we were blown away. The vibe and the friendliness of the team were just as incredible as the food. From the smash burger to the chicken patty & cheesesteak all of our guests from toddler to adult were very happy!
We would use them again a heartbeat!

Wanted to give a shout out to the restaurant, Freddy’s, in Pleasantville. Went with a couple of girlfriends a few weeks ago and then again with my hubby last week. Both meals were delicious. The appetizers are yummy! Most of all, though, I wanted to remark on the atmosphere. The people in charge are just delightful. Had a chance to meet the owner. He told me he named the restaurant after his grandfather ( forgive, it might have been his father). Either way I thought it was nice. He has a young family and loves what he does. They have been open for two years, but I just found them now. If you haven’t checked them out, you should soon!

Our family of four enjoyed an amazing Mother's Day meal at Freddy's. I started with a vodka, pineapple, cucumber cocktail. It was delicious - so well balanced and not overly sweet. I would come back just for this drink. We had the octupus and wings for appetizers. Both were great but the wings were on par with some of the best in the area. For entrees we had the smoked chicken, gnocchi Bolognese, steak frites and kid's pigs in a blanket. Everyone enjoyed their meals but the standouts were the smoked chicken and the steak frites. We appreciated that they had a kid's menu. The service was very friendly and attentive. We will be back!
Kid-friendliness: Great kid's menu

Just had my son’s communion party there- 40 people for a three course lunch. The food, service and space was perfect! My family raved about the food and space. Christina and her staff made it a breeze to plan and enjoy the party! Thanks Freddy’s!
