“If you ever want to impress your friends & family with your good taste, take them here! Ever since they opened, we've continually been returning to this awesome restaurant. Going with friends and/or family who haven't been before, makes the experience even more enjoyable. Straight-away, newcomers are impressed as they review the eclectic menu. We tell them, honestly - we've never had anything on the menu that we didn't LOVE. It was not unusual that, on this week's visit, our party of six couldn't make menu selections 'cause everything sounded so good. No problem, we simply "ordered for the table"! Ready for this - we ordered: 2 orders of Pulled Pork Sliders, 2 orders of Brie Stuffed Pretzels, Asador Corn, Watermelon Salad, 2 orders of Smoked Ribs, Shrimp & Grits, and Chinese Chicken Salad. OH MY, what a Scrumptious Feast! Not a morsel was left over! When the friendly, attentive waiter suggested dessert, some said, "I can't eat another thing!", and "oh, maybe tomorrow". I suggested, perhaps some very delicious iced cappuccinos, or an outrageous dessert drink. Everyone ordered something. I then said to our party, I think we need some accompaniments. My wife and I got the waiter on the side, explained we had a Birthday Gal at the table, and ordered an assorted dessert board for the table. Moments later, the board was presented with a glowing birthday sparkler and a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday". Immediately, the signature Carrot Cake, Mexican Chocolate Covered Churros, Bourbon Glazed Donuts, Cheese Cake, and Vanilla Gelato began to be devoured. Nearby patrons could be heard saying, "We'll have what they're having!" It was another memorable, Great Time at Southern Table. Bravo to the Chef and Staff!”

“We hosted an intimate wedding celebration in the elegant party room at Jean-Jacques. It was a joy to work with Donna Sullivan, who handles functions. She provided us with expert guidance in choosing the menu and every other detail. The room looked gorgeous, the food was exquisite and our guests were well cared for by Donna and the other servers. We received so many compliments from the attendees who remarked that they had a wonderful time and that the food was delicious. The bride and groom, and all of their friends and family, enjoyed themselves immensely and were able to meet, connect and have conversation in an elegant atmosphere. The party room is indeed a hidden gem at this premiere bakery and cafe in Pleasantville. My husband and I are not from the area and had never been to Jean-Jacques, but I contacted Jean-Jacques at the recommendation of a family member and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was exactly what we wanted. We had ample room for 40 guests and a jazz piano player. From the appetizers, Bellinis, Prosecco, wine and other beverages, to the sumptuous gourmet buffet dinner to the most delicious celebratory cake, everything was PERFECT. I say this as someone who has organized many events professionally over the decades. Donna Sullivan and Jean-Jacques are top notch.”

“The acoustics were really bad - they need more padding to soften the noise - hard to have a normal conversation.

Update: they improved the acoustic a lot and the vibe was much nicer

The food was good, the place looked clean - need to work on ensuring the dishes are put out on time. But overall the staff is extremely friendly and I would come again!”

“Wonderful experience at Freddy’s yesterday after a picture perfect day at the Point. All of our food was so fresh and just delicious. The wait staff were nice and friendly. The restaurant is so lovely, inside and out. Very, very enjoyable. We will definitely be back for more!”

“I have checked out many different PlayaBowls locations in the past, but none of them compare to PlayaBowls in Pleasantville !!!!! This place is the place to go. When I go in, the girl who usually takes my order is always there , Believe her name is Briana or Bri not 100% sure . She is a young girl with dark hair, looks very Italian. She is super adorable, very personable and well-mannered, always has a smile on her face, and always helps me out! There are a bunch of others girls I see there often and they are fantastic as well :) Great food, great atmosphere, great music, overall-great place to go. My boys are obsessed too … definitely recommend :) !!!!”

“Tight space, friendly, helpful. Food is baked goods, Italian American pastries, cookies, and probably need to order cake ahead of time. Perfect place for someone who wants dessert to go. Traditional, old school Italian bakery that reminds me of Arthur Avenue, Bronx and Mulberry Street, Little Italy, Manhattan. Parking on Wheeler is extremely busy on a Saturday. The store is cute. All your favorite Italian American pastries and cookies are available here... especially cannolis, rainbow cookies, and biscotti.”

“Love at first taste ,i love there noodles,you could actually taste the difference ,it’s fresh ,food is not salty ,no artificial flavor,balance taste Environment is clean ,employees are friendly,they serve fast ,very nice. “I dinned here for the first time in 1993. The atmosphere was one of no frills solid food and portions. We moved out of the area shortly there after and returned again just a few days ago. While under new management, the food was every bit as good as it was all those years ago and the staff put the "pleasant" in Pleasantville.”

“Good deli good prices, they got your Mexican Staples, American breakfast options, wraps, sandwhiches, Mac and cheese, coleslaw and almost every drink. You have seating space too with a TV to chill if that's your thing. Recommended if you're hungry for breakfast or lunch.”

The store is clean and has some seating inside. The staff is very friendly and helpful !
The cases are well stocked with cakes and flying saucers and pre made sundaes.
We both had soft serve twist cones with rainbow sprinkles which were amazing.
Since I was a kid, carvel has been serving consistently great I've cream and they continue that tradition today.
If you are in the mood for ice cream stop by this cavel !”

“As A local DJ Entertainer I was performing up the street at another venue wanted to change it up so came here for a Great meal and a Drink , what’s not to like ! “Perfect location with a municipal parking lot next to the cafe. GCBC bagels are as close to the bagels I grew up eating in Forest Hills. They are soft but slightly chewy. Perfect texture! When I go early in the morning after they've taken them out of the oven, I don't even ask them to toast it. Sometimes I have to wait in line because they're busy but that's a good sign. There are regulars who come every morning and read newspapers while having their bagels. It's a neighborly place with excellent bagels.”

The staff is friendly and the service is quick !
