“This is a hidden gem. I've been to Sally's Apizza in New Haven, Connecticut. This place is better. I have it in a tie with John's of Bleecker Street in Manhattan. It may be even better than John's. The pizza has been cooked perfectly both times I have gone. This guy knows what he's doing.”

“My wife was not enjoying her leftovers, so we jumped in the car to grab dinner somewhere the night before going into Little Italy the next day. With Italian obviously out, I looked for something to contrast. The corned beef spring rolls caught my attention, as did the shepherd's pie. She agreed: I found the perfect place to go and talk and eat. Especially after I spied the blue French Horn on the wall. Perfection.”

We had a great time, and i know one the workers from school. The people were really kind, and i look forward to going here many times. “I am a big fan of A&S and have been a customer for the past 40 years. While I lived in Pleasantville for many of those years, I no longer live locally. I make an extra effort to pass them on my way down from Hartford, CT to NY. That said, I had an experience today that makes me wonder, so BEWARE. I went in to buy fresh mozzarella and picked up a few of their delicatessen items. a few got weighed on the scale that I could not see, the last one on a scale I could see. Before putting the plastic container on the scale, the scale read 0 instead of minus something to address the weight of the container. They were effectively charging me $18.99 a pound for the plastic container. I called them out on it and to their credit they deducted $2.00 from my bill. I found this disappointing and will make sure to watch the scale in the future.”
