“finally tried Rice & Spice in Thornwood and honestly… I get the hype, but I also have some thoughts.

First off, I’m super picky when it comes to halal food, so I don’t hype places up easily—and this was definitely solid. The portions are no joke, you’re getting your money’s worth for sure, and the prices are actually really good for how much food you get. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and I liked that there’s a good mix of options from platters to wraps and even drinks like bubble tea.

That being said, it’s not something I’m thinking about the next day like “I NEED to go back immediately.” It’s good, dependable, and hits when you’re in the mood—but not mind-blowing.

The spot itself is pretty casual, quick-service vibes. Perfect for takeout or a quick bite, not really a sit-down-and-stay-awhile type of place.

Overall:
If you’re in the area and want something filling, flavorful, and easy—this is a solid option. Great portions, good prices, and reliable food. Just don’t go in expecting it to change your life.”

“I ordered a small dessert table: custom cookies, cake pops, chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate dipped pretzels. Every single item was fresh and beautiful! These desserts don’t only look beautiful they’re tasty too. Even the decorated sugar cookies! Jess was very responsive and the items were available for pickup during the time range as promised. They were made to be kept at room temperature which makes transport/storing before a big event so easy.”

“Bar 141 is a beautiful eatery that is upscale but with an inviting and friendly atmosphere. The menu features a diverse array of gourmet dishes. They were also quite willing to accommodate me by making a delicious vegan dishes which I greatly appreciated. The staff is friendly and customer service is excellent. I would definitely recommend Bar 141 for drinks, dinner and the live entertainment.”

“To begin with the staff at the Rosehill Deli are brilliant so friendly and courteous. We have had many breakfasts and lunches to go and have never been disappointed.. For the first time ever I decided that life was way too crazy and I couldn’t handle the whole thanksgiving dinner so I ordered from the Rosehill Deli Turkey, stuffing, gravy and more and was absolutely delighted and as expected the food was fabulous �we would recommend this to everyone ... so happy to have them so close to home . “I am a big fan of A&S and have been a customer for the past 40 years. While I lived in Pleasantville for many of those years, I no longer live locally. I make an extra effort to pass them on my way down from Hartford, CT to NY. That said, I had an experience today that makes me wonder, so BEWARE. I went in to buy fresh mozzarella and picked up a few of their delicatessen items. a few got weighed on the scale that I could not see, the last one on a scale I could see. Before putting the plastic container on the scale, the scale read 0 instead of minus something to address the weight of the container. They were effectively charging me $18.99 a pound for the plastic container. I called them out on it and to their credit they deducted $2.00 from my bill. I found this disappointing and will make sure to watch the scale in the future.”

“The best Chinese food in Westchester, and this after trying out half a dozen. They also have some unique dishes on the menu compared to the standard fare. Flavors are not salt/sweet/oil saturated. Prices are very reasonable as a bonus.”
