“This is definitely an "Old School" Italian restaurant. We had a large party, and they have a dining area off to the side that nicely accommodated us. The wait staff kept our water glasses full and checked in often. I'm not sure if the food service is slow on purpose (so that you don't feel rushed), or if it's just slow. There was a ton of bread and butter on the table along with olives, cubed cheese and a tomato bruschetta sauce for dipping. The fried calamari was tender and tasty. I'd give it 5 stars. Everything else was fine. (I thought the Mussels Bianco were over salted.) Though my date loved his Shrimp Marinara (which had a lot of other shellfish in it too), our other friend didn't love the fillet of sole. BUT, another eating companion LOVED the Osso Bucco. Ya' can't please everyone, but it sure is a nice place to sit and enjoy everyone's company!“

“My husband and I went last night for dinner, and we cannot stop talking about how much we enjoyed it. First, they accommodated us quickly and made us feel welcome despite the fact that we arrived a little over 15 minutes late for our reservation; we were expecting to wait but they seated us right away. The atmosphere is soooo pretty with greenery and fun music playing.Now the food: My husband ordered a cocktail and I ordered wine and both came out promptly & were generous in size. While we waited for our food, we looked at the meals that were coming out of the kitchen and everything looked delicious! The serving sizes are VERY generous. My husband ordered the chicken parm vodka special and I ordered the ravioli and meatball. We easily could have split the chicken parm to share. It was easily one of our favorite meal experiences, as everything was made to perfection. For dessert we ordered the cheesecakes.. I have high expectations for cheesecake and theirs did not disappoint. We both left feeling stuffed but in the best way. No notes. 12/10.“
“My daughter-in-law is from Brazil and introduced my family to some treats like Brigadeiros and so I found Araras online and visited one day to get some . So happy I did and I’ve been back several times to pick up different treats and also to buy some groceries from the market. I must say that as wonderful as the food is, the service and people who work there are even more wonderful! They have always been so helpful and accommodating and make Araras a very special place. “It had been quite some time since I’d been here and the food was just as delicious as I remembered!Our group ordered Clams, Caesar salad with grilled chicken, Bow tie pasta with Pesto sauce, and an Arrabbiata pasta that was not on the menu.The pesto dish was practically licked clean . It was a large portion eaten by a tiny friend who seldom finishes her plate . The fact that she she managed to devour the entire plate speaks volumes as to the flavor.. I have to admit that I stole a piece of two because it looked so delicious .I ordered the Arrabiata, which was perfectly spiced. I think each and everyone of us enjoyed our food equally.The staff was perfect. They were very attentive, without being intrusive.I had to take a star away from the atmosphere simply because the overhead heaters in the patio area became too hot, and while they were incredibly accommodating in turning them off, it became too cold. Had they been adjustable heaters it would’ve been fine. Looking forward to coming back during the spring months and sampling more of the menu..“

“I love this restaurant. The staff are amazing and the food is delicious. The only thing I can mention is that they can change the music. The first time I went there, they were playing the 80s hits, it was so much fun! The staff and the gusts were dancing and having a good time. I think this was a better choice for the music. “Some of the absolute best food I've ever had. Fusilli bolognese and spicy rigatoni w/ shrimp are dynamite. Their newly renovated speakeasy is wonderful; they offer their full dinner menu either at the bar or at one of their comfy and intimate tables. The bartenders know what they're doing; their cocktails are delicious! Saturday nights they have a DJ that goes on at 10pm and really gets the crowd going. Highly recommended. Immediately, the bartender, Steven/Stephen, starts telling us about the place and it’s rich history. He was so kind and helpful the whole night. He made sure he connected with us for a great experience.We ordered espresso martinis, because obviously. They were INCREDIBLE. You can get it with or without Baileys which was nice. We even got decaf espresso. The level of sweetness was just right. The foam was foaming. They were truly a treat. 10/10. I also ordered a Tiramisu martini which came with a lady finger on top. This was a little stronger but still nice and creamy with great foam. 9/10.The food was absolutely DIVINE. He told us the food is made fresh because they don’t have a freezer..?!?!!? Impressive if true. We started off with the Arancini because they are my religion. Mouthwatering. The rice was perfectly cooked. The crispy outside was amazing. The flavors melded together well. 10/10. I had the Spicy Rigs. It was made with homemade pasta…!!!!!!!!!! I am not a pasta girly but when it’s homemade…consider me a pasta girly. The sauce was smooth and creamy. The tomatoes really came through. I wish the Calabrian chilis poked through a little more for more of a spice. The only drawback was the noise level which  was quite loud and difficult to hear the people at our table. Perhaps this was because the restaurant was so full of happy energetic diners. “I feel like the above-average cannolis are the secret menu item of this place; sometimes out of stock but worth every penny. Their plain cheese pizza is unfortunately only delicious about 60% of the time when a particular chef who adds seasoning to the bottom of the crust is cooking. I have yet to figure out the best day of the week and time to order to get him/her every time. When the pizza is mediocre, the crust is too thick, the cheese tastes bland, and it needs more red sauce. A shame this place can't be more consistent with their pizza flavoring and prep.“

My husband had linguini vongole and I had some sort of pasta pocket filled with spinach and ricotta. My husband said his was delicious. My pasta was so light and the filling was excellent. We shared a side of shiitake mushrooms and put that on top of our dishes - perfect. They treated us to tiramisu because we went the day of the snowstorm and they had some left over that wouldn't have been fresh the next day. It was superb.
