I had the bucatini with zucchini and it was so special; savory and rich without feeling heavy. The cocktail list is small but the tequila mule was pretty good. We ordered a ton of food - three appetizers, two mains, two desserts, a cocktail, sparkling water and one soda and the bill came to just under $200 which felt really reasonable. My jeans feel tight and that is fine for me because it was worth every calorie.“

“I have been going to Fortina since they first opened in 2013. Fortina and Decicco's, both located in Armonk Square, were a shot in the arm to downtown Armonk at the time and they both have become institutions in town. Fortina strikes a perfect balance of modern takes on italian food while offering an authentic experience with excellent homemade pastas, wood-fired pizzas, and other "wood-fired" offerings coming out of their ovens. Their menu has few blind spots as everything I have had has always been delicious. I always look forward to new seasonal additions and tweaks over the years. On our most recent trip, we tried their wood-fired wings for the first time. They came out piping hot and juicy. The calabrian chili and maple sauce was delicious paired with the green goddess dressing. For an entree, I had the gnocchi (which I had previously via takeout, and I knew I had to try fresh in the restaurant next time I went). The pan seared gnocchi has a thick, almost creamy pistachio pesto drizzled with brown butter and cheese - it was fantastic. Inside Fortina has a great vibe with a rustic but modern feel of the wood covered walls adorned with eccentric art including a portrait of Bill Murray from the life aquatic which has been there since opening. Service is friendly and relaxed. Fortina is always a great choice for some of the best pizza and pasta in the County as well as an excellent weekend brunch.“

“It had been quite some time since I’d been here and the food was just as delicious as I remembered!Our group ordered Clams, Caesar salad with grilled chicken, Bow tie pasta with Pesto sauce, and an Arrabbiata pasta that was not on the menu.The pesto dish was practically licked clean . It was a large portion eaten by a tiny friend who seldom finishes her plate . The fact that she she managed to devour the entire plate speaks volumes as to the flavor.. My husband had linguini vongole and I had some sort of pasta pocket filled with spinach and ricotta. My husband said his was delicious. My pasta was so light and the filling was excellent. We shared a side of shiitake mushrooms and put that on top of our dishes - perfect. They treated us to tiramisu because we went the day of the snowstorm and they had some left over that wouldn't have been fresh the next day. It was superb. Reasonably priced, especially the pasta dishes. We are already looking forward to going back!“

Their plain cheese pizza is unfortunately only delicious about 60% of the time when a particular chef who adds seasoning to the bottom of the crust is cooking. When the pizza is mediocre, the crust is too thick, the cheese tastes bland, and it needs more red sauce. A shame this place can't be more consistent with their pizza flavoring and prep.“

The wait staff kept our water glasses full and checked in often. I'm not sure if the food service is slow on purpose (so that you don't feel rushed), or if it's just slow. There was a ton of bread and butter on the table along with olives, cubed cheese and a tomato bruschetta sauce for dipping. The fried calamari was tender and tasty. I'd give it 5 stars. Everything else was fine. (I thought the Mussels Bianco were over salted.) Though my date loved his Shrimp Marinara (which had a lot of other shellfish in it too), our other friend didn't love the fillet of sole. BUT, another eating companion LOVED the Osso Bucco.
