The market itself feels old-school and designed with a great attention to detail… fresh mozzarella, imported meats and cheeses, pastas, desserts, cannolis, gelato are all here.

“We celebrated my husband’s grandfather’s birthday here tonight with a party of 14, and I can’t say enough good things about our experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was handled so professionally and warmly. The restaurant is beautiful, elegant, and has such a welcoming atmosphere.

Our table was perfect, the service was attentive without ever making us feel rushed, and every dish came out exactly as it should. With a group our size, it’s easy for things to go wrong, but everything ran seamlessly. The staff worked together so well, and everyone in our party left happy.

The bill was also very reasonable, and while gratuity wasn’t automatically included, our server absolutely earned every bit of the 20% we gladly left.

We were all so impressed how good but different each sauce was for the dishes we ordered. Chef cooked the marinara sauce perfectly, it was bright and flavorful with just a touch of acidity. Artichoke was one of the highlights, as well as the Sardinia style pasta, Mallorredus. Portions were good and we even saved room for dessert. Pistachio Italian cheese cake - absolute perfection. “Decided to go to modern on the rails for date night as was recommended by a friend of mine. The place was amazing. Nothing but amazing and excellent things to say. Not good or great but EXCELLENT and AMAZING. from the moment we were greated by the hostess to the moment we left. We orderd the classic calamari which was fantastic it wasn't rubbery like you get at most places and the mussels marina was excellent. For our entrees we had the brazino fish which my wife loved it was cooked to perfection abscess wasn't heavy at all. The grill veggies that came with it had the perfect char on them. I had the pork ossso bunch over risotto which I was reluctant to try but I'm glad I did. The pork shanks was a generous portion as well as delicious and presented in an elegant way over the wild mushroom risotto. When I go out in westchester again this is going to be one of the places I would go back to over and over again.

Food delivery is reasonably quick. Eating in is always great and the service is top notch!!

The only thing I've noticed wrong is that when food is delivered, the bread is sometimes doughy and even undercooked a few times.

Would however prefer to eat within the restaurant where I can rest assured that the food will be properly cooked and there are no rush jobs.“
