Dog-friendly. Family-friendly. People-in-general friendly. Very comfortable: high ceilings, four-top tables with chairs, two-top tables with high stools, a lively bar, street-side window benches, and a view of the brewing tanks in the loft at the rear. Love the cool old music posters. Add to all that an evolving palette of lagers, IPAs, stouts, and an occasional experimental or seasonal brew, and you've got a place that you'll wish was in your town. Fortunately, it's in ours, smack in the heart of the Pleasantville commercial district, just around the corner from the Jacob Burns theater. (Now, if only I could get them to start a Happy Hour, I will edit this review and give them SIX stars.)

Unusually in that every beer we tried was excellent. Highly recommended and will be back. The pretzel is good, not great, but still enjoyable. Dog friendly! 🐕

First time here, find this place on google and decided to try it out... there is street parking, seating indoor and outdoors... Staff was nice, we had a flight of beers... Beer was okay.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet but Soul is one of my favorite spots in the whole county. It's so cozy, the staff is awesome, the beer is delicious (especially Freya's Hefeweizen and El Tropical IPA) and they allow dogs. Can't rave enough about Soul.

I've been hearing about the award winning beers of Soul and had to try it. I'm a citrus beer kind of person and really loooove El Tropical IPA for its smooth and well balanced fruity and citrusy notes.It's the best I've had. ??????

Great beer! My husband really enjoys Belgium beers and he was very impressed with this place. Our bartender was Charlie. He was very friendly and accommodating. They do sell empanadas and popcorn. Clean place. They don't sell Coke or Pepsi. They do have wine. They also sell their beer in cans.
