It's been several years since we have gotten food from New China. It was better then. Briefly, we ordered a spicy chicken & broccoli and sweet & sour shrimp. The spicy was not at all spicy. The shrimp looked huge but turned out to be medium Shrimp, butterflies and hidden in 1/2inch of batter. The batter was so thick that, though browned outside, it was still batter inside. I salvaged the shrimp and composted the batter. The sweet & sour sauce was devoid of sour. Oh and there were two spring rolls which contained some mushy, tastless, stuff and composted. I see others are happy with New China so maybe mine was a one off experience.

I asked for pepper steak no onion combination plate and they gave me literally a plate a peppers, that’s gotta be a whole ONE pepper chopped up so perfectly there, the rice is crunchy and the steak is chewy, all this for $15 dollars, as a resident it breaks my heart that this is the only Chinese food spot in port Ewen, i suggest ppl eat somewhere else

Always fresh and delicious Chinese food from this place. They are a very kind family and the service is super quick. We have gotten food from here over a dozen times and it’s always great. We live in NYC too so we know. ? Here’s a photo of the menu since it’s hard to find. The prices are great and they give you large portions.

Not sure what happened, but The food was pretty bad. The pork fried rice was either undercooked or old. It was very dry and a little crunchy. The Lo Mein was OK, but salty. The eggroll was tough and chewy. Used to be some of the best chinese takeout around. Hoping it was just an off night.
