Everything we ordered was absolutely mouthwatering. We got:
-the Wood fired pita- that whipped butter was heavenly
-prosciutto & fig- the combination of all these ingredients and flavors made for the perfect bite
-Lamb chop- simply stunning
-mushroom pasta- the umami flavor was unreal. You need to get this!

“I came here during my year in the States as an Irishman in my early 20s in January of 2023 and it is one of the fondest memories I have of my time there. Myself and my partner sat at the bar speaking with Paul throughout the night. The following night we returned and Paul immediately found a spot at the bar for us despite the bar being incredibly busy (as it always seemed to be), and we continued where we left off from the night before. The definition of hospitality, and somewhere I hope to return to sooner rather than later.”

“It's a perfect hideaway from the world nestled at the top of the hill in Woodstock. An intimate setting with an entire upstairs that boasts retro arcade games. Though that's not only reason for going.

The cocktail program boasts several spins on classics that are thoughtfully put together & a selection of classics that every bartender should know & execute flawlessly. Mark, the owner has taken pride in his work & it shows with the layout of the bar to the curated selection of premium spirits from smaller producers.

We tried for years & couldn't find a single venue in Woodstock, let alone most of Ulster County that knew how to make a Vieux Carre, a Sazerac, an Improved Whiskey Cocktail, or even a Naked Famous & few if any can or do.

The bar has been here about a year & deserves so much more love & attention from the community. If you haven't been, you're missing out.”

“I am a vegan. During my visit to Woodstock, I had to call all the places to check if they have vegan options. The most I can mostly find is an Avo toast. Found Garden Cafe and I was so excited to see that they are 100% Plant Based.
Everything we ordered was so delicious and the staff were so friendly. I just had one meal there but would like to try all the food options there if I am back in Woodstock in future. Much Love!!”

The chicken vindaloo is always my go-to dish, and my husband loves the shrimp curry. Food is always fresh and just spicy enough. Beautiful decor and super friendly waitstaff. I would definitely recommend Mountain Gate to anyone looking to soothe their Indian food craving.”

“Beyond wonderful! Concerning prices… this bakery is priceless! Considering how inflation is out of control everywhere, it’s a miracle they are able to maintain at their prices. This is an incredibly exceptional bakery, especially if you require vegan specialty desserts. Macarons? Wow! Custom cakes, sweet treats, not to mention the adorable shop filled with incredible gifts to present a surprise and delight, wherever you are going. Bravissima!”

“Pretty laid back and rustic setting brewery. It has outdoor and indoor seating. The bartender was mildly helpful, could have been more attentive. The pale ales were great as well as the Hudson North Kiwi Strawberry cider. Bathrooms were very clean and had tissues. Not sure if they offer food, but we only ordered beers.”
