We went there after a funeral with about 20 people. The waitress was nasty. The pizza staff in the front is nice but we won’t be visiting the restaurant in the back anymore.
I haven't been to Carnival for several years because I moved out of state. I had always enjoyed their pizza and this time it did not disappoint. The pizza was delicious. Highly recommend.

Made a special holiday trip from New Haven (just across the Sound) to give Mike's pizza a try, having heard about it on social media. His pie exceeded expectations -- one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. He gladly left off the cheese at my request and worked around it with the freshest tasting toppings and a perfect crust. The pie was baked to perfection and the flavors and spices complemented each other perfectly. Really, really delicious! And Mike, the staff, and the customers are incredibly friendly. Although it takes a bit of planning to get here, I can't wait to come back!
Vegetarian options: It was easy to keep the dairy and animal products off the pizza and still have an incredibly delicious pie!

We’ve been doing take out for years and never dined in until tonight. We were sat right away on a busy Friday night. Apps and entrees were great. But what was better than all that, was the service. Our server was, Josh. When taking our order, one of my young sons asked for something not on the menu. Seeing how upset he was, Josh left the table and said he’ll see what he can do. Shortly after, he returned to the table with something impossible to find on Long Island, pineapple pizza slices. My kids were amazed, and so was I. The world needs more people like Josh. We learned that he’s worked for the restaurant for twenty seven years. And unlike some people who just go to their job because they have to, we were lucky enough to be someone’s reason to go above and beyond. Thanks, Josh. You’re a cool dude who made magic happen. ????? ?
Classic NYC Italian fare made with care. Very good eggplant parma and grandma pizza. Mike the mid 20s counter pizza guy is a blast and a hottie, eye candy for the sole. Mike is good enough to be on the menu.

The Carnival eggplant parmigiana was the best I’ve ever had! The garlic bread was so good. Our waitress, Karen was top notch.

Had a party there in the private room. Very nice, quiet and away from the rest of the restaurant w a private bathroom. Food was excellent, as it has been forever, and our host Josh was amazing. He got everything right and didn’t stop until every guest had whatever they needed - truly exceptional experience. 5/5

Greatest Italian pizza around. I go almost everyday for things as I am close by and always get something different. Best staff ever like family treated.
Kid-friendliness: Beyond friendly with my children
Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp, easy for handicap to get in and out. They will come healthy with the door as well.

Always loved this restaurant. Tonight it took forever to get a drink. We started with water and soda for the meal. My husband soda never came. The tables were not leveled and water spilled all over. No one helped to clean it up. The clam sauce was amazing my chicken Marsala was bland. When we were done that’s when the waiter asked if we needed anything! Really! We had to find a fork and knife to eat with because my husband didn’t get any. The server packed up the leftover claim sauce didn’t close the container correctly so it was all over the plastic bag and we had to throw it out in the garage can outside of the restaurant!

Always loved pizza carnival and their food, although it's a bit pricey! On Friday night, the table we sat at was uneven, causing my husband's water to slide off the table, and no one came to clean it up. His soda never arrived. The clam sauce was amazing, but my husband fell ill the next day, and my Chicken marsala was bland and watery with two tiny cutlets. When the server packed my husband's leftover clam sauce, she didn't seal the lid, resulting in a bulging bag of clam sauce all over the plastic bag outside the restaurant. We threw it away.
Carnival is an ok Italian restaurant that offers a wide variety of food. Although the variety stands out, the quality doesn't. I had the Shrimp Carnival, which was ok. It was soaked in a little too much oil. Understanding it is fried, it still should have had a shrimp flavor to it, not oil. My wife had the chicken teriyaki, which she didn't like at all. I had some, and there was no flavor to it. Take out from a Chinese restaurant has more flavor to it. I really didn't want to rate Carnival badly, but I've just had better experiences with other Italian restaurants. Hopefully, they'll improve the food. The service was great, though.
