We're there on a Tuesday for dinner, we sat in the bar it wasn't very crowded but the bartender and patrons at the bar seemed to need to talk at a very loud volume.

It appears my written review didn't go through.... So let me write it again. On this very hot Wednesday afternoon I visited Port Jefferson with my beautiful wife for the first time. After 20 minutes of walking around we got hot and thirsty so we decided to find a place to grab a beer and something to eat. Was not in the mood for expensive seafood. We walked by Billy's and it seemed to have a nice vibe. We found the atmosphere friendly and cozy. The bartender was very friendly and knew how to make a black and tan which is our favorite beer to order. We ordered a Reuben sandwich to share and it was fantastic. Such tender and moist corned beef. It really was an excellent sandwich. The fries and onion rings were plenty. Overall we were very satisfied that we chose this place to rest drink and eat before resuming our road trip back to Nassau

Been coming here quite a few times and the food is always to die for! We got the Irish Eggrolls, which are a huge favorite of mine, the Chopped Wedge Salad, the Reubened Barnum with onion rings, and The Farmer Flatbread. Everything was delicious and we spent under $100 with a good tip and had a couple of beers too. Great food and great value. Service was also very friendly and attentive!

Just had the worst meal I've had in a long time here. I should have walked out when they said there was no Guinness. I had a steak sandwich that was undercooked, and was tough as shoe leather. My wife's club sandwich was awful as well. It took forever to get to us as well. The only thing good was the waitress. I've been here before when it was good, I'm never going back.

Oh my goodness, my family went to Billie’s for Easter Dinner last night! The food was out of this world. Everything we got was spot on from the appetizers to the dessert!
The service was amazing, and it didn’t cost an arm and a leg to enjoy a night out. I’m looking forward to going back when the weather is a bit warmer and eating on their back deck.
I consider myself a bit of a foodie and this place was top-notch! Definitely give it a try. Oh, and it wasn’t packed like every other establishment town Port!
I've been coming here for years and have had the pleasure of getting to know many of their bartenders as they started there and then moved onto other endeavors. Yesterday there was a new face behind the bar named Melissa (nicknamed "Murph" and she is a STELLAR addition to the team! She is friendly, personable, and is so good at her job it's hard to believe she's one of their newer hires. She makes the best espresso martini I’ve ever had (which makes sense why she has a reputation for it).
We came in when it was slow and out of nowhere the bar became PACKED and this girl didn't miss a beat. Billie's knew what they were doing adding her to the bar staff because she took on the entire bar area, service drinks for waitstaff and was even running food/drinks to tables when she had time- all with the biggest smile and best attitude. If you haven't been to Billie's for their incredible burgers, wings and ambiance then you MUST go down and meet the all mighty Murph. You can tell she enjoys her job and truly wants guests to feel welcome and happy to be there. Myself along with other guests were amazed at how on earth she took that entire bar on by herself she's a rockstar!! Great job Melissa!!!! Would love to see her behind the bar more often in the future. Glad to see another all star join an already incredible team of bartenders at Billie's Saloon.
