“One of my favorite restaurants! Every course offers great choices. Our daughter is vegan and there is always one or 2 options available for her, as well. The fish and meat are always accompanied by flavorful, interesting vegetables and starches. The wine options are plentiful. The decor is both attractive and comfortable with tables distanced for personal space. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and well established. Really nice dining experience.”
“Visited for dinner on a Saturday night. Started by ordering drinks, Bourb-Berry and their cider cinnamon drink. Both were extremely enjoyable and tasty, a good size drink without been overpriced. For starters we shared the buttermilk fried chicken which was very satisfying and a good portion to share between 2 people. Our main meals were their old fields burger and squid ink linguine. Both meals were great and very tasteful. Service was very good, our waiter was very friendly and visited our table often to ensure everything was up to our liking. I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try if you are in the area.”
“Visited today with my best friend and goddaughter and had a great time! Rachel was an excellent server, the tea and food were delicious & the whole place is adorable. Will definitely be back again.”
“Southdown was my dissertation bootcamp cafe last year, and I am so thrilled that I can call this cafe my home base. The staff are always so friendly, their coffee is one of the best in the area, and I love their food options. You need to try their cinnamon cardamom knot and the breakfast burrito...delicious!”
“Cozy beachy atmosphere with nice selection of quality food. Great food locally sourced! Burgers are delish as well as the falafel platter. Fun place to go on a Friday night. Looking forward to trying it out for breakfast.”
“The best halal place I’ve been to in a very long time I was able to eat my food. I got side sauces if I wanted them because sometimes the hot sauce is a little spicy but it was perfect and it’s so good definitely a must try if you’re in the area.”
“I love Slurp! My last stop was on Saturday February 24th, 2024 on my way home from taking ferry. I was able to use the parking easily to order inside and take to go. Food was ready quickly and it was still delicious by the time I got home 15 minutes later. I would recommend that you park elsewhere as the parking is a nightmare but otherwise it’s delicious!”
“I have been coming to Tiger Lily for about 9 years, and this will always remain one of my favorite cafes. From their smoothies, to their vegetarian sandwich options, and their crab cakes (I'm a pescatarian), I am never disappointed. My boyfriend also loves it as well!Vegetarian options: They have an incredible smoothie bar!”
“Good food, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere. The French toast, toast with goat cheese, and vegan pancakes were all good. I'm glad the person at the counter let me know that the pancakes would have a different texture because of the almond flour so I wasn't put off by it; the flavor was really good so that made up for them not being fluffy.”
“Ruvo, again, did not disappoint! Delicious food, this time I had the salmon! Wonderful, friendly service! Beautiful atmosphere. The perfect place to go after seeing a show at Theatre Three, walking distance. Enjoy!”
“Our overall experience at this restaurant was quite pleasant. The staff was attentive and considerate, although the food fell slightly short of expectations. While the flavors in the Shrimp with Lump Crab & Lobster dish were enjoyable, the presentation left much to be desired as it was served in a messy manner. The Pear salad, although nicely split onto two plates, had its ingredients separated across both plates, which felt a bit odd. Fortunately, the server graciously accommodated my request to change the sides for my Filet Mignon at no extra charge, which was a nice touch. However, the plate arrived in a messy state with the steak, potatoes, spinach, and onion straws scattered all over, each item at a different temperature, with the spinach being surprisingly the hottest. This inconsistency was a bit perplexing. My companion ordered the Grilled Chicken with Fresh Mozzarella and Angel Hair pasta, which unfortunately arrived lukewarm and lacked standout flavor. The beverage experience was also hit or miss; the Pepsi was flat, and there were a couple of mishaps with spilled water during service. On a brighter note, the dessert presentation was delightful, and the taste was exquisite. The coffee was served piping hot and was thoroughly enjoyable. Despite some shortcomings, the restaurant has a charming ambiance and is evidently popular, especially on Saturdays. The staff's service was commendable, and it's advisable to make reservations for parties of four or more. Considering the total bill of $140+ for two people, we found the pricing reasonable for the location, especially during the off-season. Overall, we would rate our experience a 3.7 out of 5, factoring in all aspects. We do plan to return and would recommend it to others, hoping for a more consistent and refined dining experience next time.”
“The food we got was delicious. My wife had the cauliflower crust flatbread, which was a little sweeter than she expected because of the jam on it, but still very good, and I had the fish and chips. The dunks were also very good and the ambiance was a lot of fun. We sat at the high tops in the bar which is more of the loud and a lot going on seeing...because it's a bar of course which is what we wanted that night, however there were much much quieter and low key tables in the back of the restaurant for the sit down eating experience. This one is now added to our regular list of places to go.”
“Call me crazy but i think this is the best Mexican food on Long Island. Ive had take out hundreds of times and the quality, price, and staff are always the best....and it's quick!”
“Laura, our server, delivered exceptional service throughout our visit. Despite the crowd, she consistently checked on us, going above and beyond by even delivering a hot cup of coffee to go. The food was excellent, with a commendable variety of vegan options available. While I do miss the intimate ambiance of the village, the spacious and stunning environment of this newer location is truly noteworthy.Dietary restrictions: Vegan”
“The food was really good. Nice size portions. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. There were 3 of us, and we were there talking for over an hour. No one tried to rush us out. I'll be back.”
