As a bar/restaurant, Billies checks all the boxes. Food is very good. Drink menu is extensive. People are friendly. And there's been an upgrade in the decor/atmosphere. Think Cheers but in Port Jeff.
Had a great time and a real nice burger! The beer was ice cold and served up with charisma and local knowledge by Vinny. When visiting Port Jefferson definitely stop in this historic building and enjoy the local charm. Vinny has great taste in music and doesn't leave you with an empty glass!

The food we got was delicious. My wife had the cauliflower crust flatbread, which was a little sweeter than she expected because of the jam on it, but still very good, and I had the fish and chips. The dunks were also very good and the ambiance was a lot of fun. We sat at the high tops in the bar which is more of the loud and a lot going on seeing...because it's a bar of course which is what we wanted that night, however there were much much quieter and low key tables in the back...read full review
