Dortoni Port Jeff (formerly La Bonne Boulangerie)

Just purchased bunch of goods pay extra credit charge of almost $3.00(no sign in the store about it) came home to find out that the blueberry turnover was basically empty inside and the dough was stale and dry. This same was with small eclairs. The filling was still moist but the pastry dry and unsuitable for eating.

This bakery has been my go to for over 20 years, from commack to levitown and most recently port jeff. Bravo to employee Kaylee who helped me with my situation, she was professional and I received what I originally ordered.

I picked up a few cupcakes from this bakery with my 8-year-old to celebrate his birthday at home. Everybody in family agreed that they tasted terrible and were clearly several days old. When I went back to the store, staff admitted the cupcakes were not fresh. To make things worse, I had already ordered a dozen of them for his kids’ birthday party the next day, and they refused to cancel or refund the order despite acknowledging the issue. Very disappointed with this business and will not be returning.

Terrible pastries. They tasted old! Got the magic bar, cream puffs, cheesecake and the carrot cake. The carrot cake was the only OK one out of them all. Won’t be coming back unfortunately

I received a gift certificate from Dortini for my one year wedding anniversary to redeem a 6” cake. I went to the bakery and presented my certificate where I was then asked if I needed it personalized or I could take something pre-made. I decided to grab something quick to take home for me and my husband to enjoy. However, the cake was very stale and after one bite we ended up throwing the entire cake away. I was very disappointed because our wedding cake with Dortini was amazing and guests could not stop talking about it but we couldn’t even enjoy this cake. I know this was a pre-made cake but standards on taste & freshness should still be the same.
