My friends surprised me with a reservation here last Sunday as a early birthday brunch. Because I don't live in the area I was unfamiliar with the place and pleasantly surprised. Very quaint Victorian decor, every color of pastel from floor to ceiling, even the bathroom was decorated like something from another era. The attention was not limited to the decor, as the menu was very much high tea with choices of tea towers (which looked massive) scones of the day with fresh cream and jam, variety of inventive small sandwiches (loved the French onion roastbeef sandwich and Turkey Brie Jam Croissant) and of course- a substantial list of teas from English breakfast and Darjeeling to more exotic teas like chocolate and marshmallow. Our service was excellent and the small place filled quickly as they have limited hours. I bought 5 different hand lotions in the gift shop on the way out I would love to return again as this place is quite unique (though the lack of parking is typical in any busy town on Long Island, especially one featuring many small businesses near the shore) I would love to bring back some of my tea loving friends in the future after this top notch experience.

Everything about this place is memorable. It’s the cutest place to eat for lunch and have a girls day out. Food is delicious, big variety of tea selection, the service is on point and the atmosphere is absolutely adorable.

Such an amazing tea shop with an extraordinary and quaint tasting / sit down area. The tea options and flavors are exquisite. We go there every year to refill our tins and try out new teas to ring in the new year. It can get quite busy, so get there early and enjoy - don’t forget to try the scones!!!

Nestled on Maine St of Port Jefferson awaits an oasis of tranquility known as The Secret Garden Tearoom & Gift Shop. It's here that many women, and accompanying men, gather with their friends or loved ones for a refreshing change from an ordinary lunch and/or tea break. Out from its hidden kitchen, floating through the soothing music, to the lace covered glass topped tables come the makings of an English style Afternoon Tea consisting of savory and sweet delights that are lazing upon tiered servers. For those desiring a less elaborate meal, there are lighter English style choices, salads, sandwiches, quiche, and homemade soup. However, the showcase of this unusual experience is the tea. The assortment makes the choice difficult, but once you choose, the entrancing aroma emanating from the beautiful teapot used to serve captivates the patron to not only try her own, but return to try their friend's tea. If a playful mood strikes, choose a tea hat from the back to wear during this endearing meal and recall your own childhood days of playing 'Ladies at Tea,' pinky pointing and all. Also, be sure to browse the gift shop already holding something you'll want to take home or give. The Secret Garden Tearoom & Gift Shop creates a magical experience with sweet simplicity that will keep you coming back and each time you do, you will enjoy. Reservations necessary.

A family owned business that delivers every time. I swear they make the best cup of tea. Everything is homemade in the kitchen. The owner continues to impress me from changing the decor and food seasonally, to take out, to catering and special events. This tearoom is worth the drive from wherever you are and I highly recommend them for any type of shower!! #bridalshower #cleaneating #teatime #takeout

The atmosphere is so much fun! I've always wanted to have a tea service experience and this felt a bit like a dream come true I've been here on a romantic date and a fun get together with friends and family. Both times were a blast. The food is delicious and the presentation is beautiful! I would definitely recommend the light tea service; each of the foods featured on the platter and the tea options are really tasty.

We brought my Mom here today to celebrate her 100th birthday. the atmosphere was just lovely. The staff was very attentive to my Mom, they all came out and sang happy birthday to her. It just made her day. The food was delicious, we had the light tea which included a scone and 5 finger sandwiches.Parking: There is parking along the street but around the corner there was plenty of parking available.

Ordered the "full afternoon tea." Asked if we could have a small pot of tea instead of regular size so we could try a second tea. Was told yes, however, waitress didn't come back to ask about second tea. Needed to flag her down and was just about done with our food when second tea arrived. In fairness, she may have been the only waitress staffed.Full Afternoon Tea tower has a nice assortment of bite-sized sandwiches, scones and treats but seems very expensive for quantity of food compared to another local tea room.Wheelchair accessibility: One level from door.

Adorable spot. Perfect to take your daughter, friend, mother etc. I tried some of the high tea food items and they were delicious. I enjoyed my grilled chicken panini and I would get it again if I came back. A pot of tea was enough for 3 people and we very much enjoyed it. The peachy punch was indeed... peachy! The high tea pricing in my opinion seemed a little high for the amount you got, but I will say everything did taste good. Lovely staff, cute decor, this place is a little gem.

The Secret Garden is just wonderful, we took my Mom today to celebrate her 100th birthday. The staff treated her like a queen, everyone came out and sang happy birthday to her making it such a special visit. We had the light tea which was a scone along with 5 different finger sandwiches.
