The owner of the store a great guy. I’ve been a customer a few times and I’m always welcomed nicely. They have a great selection of teas, spices, and sugars! As a college student whose major is culinary arts I have to say this is a store meant for me! The prices aren’t to high I will spend the word of this store to everyone I know!
Once again, I had a wonderful experience at this establishment. Everybody is so friendly and helpful, especially Bill. My first encounter with Bill was when I called the store trying to find a specific spice blend that I had ordered in the past and I couldn't remember what it was. He spent so much time on the phone trying to help me and really wanted to make sure I figured out what it was. He placed an order for me, took so much time and care, and it was a great experience. I've been in the store in person several times since then and each time he takes a lot of effort to help me find exactly what I'm looking for and making sure that I know all the different blends and spices they have. As someone who cooks all the time, it's very important to me to have the right spices.
So today I was there with my family and bought a couple of spices and blends. As usual, he helped me pick just the right ones. So this time there was an issue with one of the spice blends when I got home. Not only did he answer the phone after the store was technically closed, he told me I didn't have to return the item that was not what I thought it was and he said he was mailing me out the right one the next day. That is amazing customer service and care for your clientele. Then he called me even later to make sure that he had the exact correct address.
This store is so fun. It is full of wonderful spices, teas and sugars etc... There's so much to smell and taste. I have a great experience every time. It's my favorite reason to go to Port Jefferson.
Came into the store today with my 7 year old daughter, we were greeted by the owner who was so kind and informative. My daughter tried a sample of the ConfetTEA cake tea and absolutely loved it , I purchased her a bag , the owner was kind enough I give her a free cup of it so she could have more before we got home it made her day . Can’t wait to go back and try some of the other things they have. .
Great tea and spice blends.
Stop in today while walking around. Such a cute and homey little shop. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Tried some of their samples they were absolutely delicious. I ended up getting an iced tea made there and it was absolutely delightful. I also bought some of their tea herd mixes while there and an axolotl tea infuser, which was absolutely adorable. Highly recommend coming here, you will not be disappointed!! :D
Such a nice store. Knowledge and friendly staff. Store was clean. The tea bar was great and I was able to enjoy samples of different teas. Recipe card ideas and what spices you will need such a great idea and I have tried a few of the recipes with the coordinating spices and they came out delicious.
Highly recommended !
What a treasure this place is! Couldn’t wait to get home and use the Bourbon Black Walnut Sugar sprinkled on a bowl of oatmeal. It was delicious ! The owner Bill was super friendly and also suggested a Cranberry Apple Honey as well as offering me to take in the scent of Warm Bread Pudding Black Tea. Sold! I will be back…often!
I went into The Spice & Tea Exchange hoping to recreate a lovely jasmine tea I had during afternoon tea in the UK last year. Bill advised me on the tea and equipment I would need and he thoroughly walked me through the process of making it! I came home prepared with the materials and knowledge to make the tea and it came out just as I remembered! Will definitely be returning. I cannot recommend this shop enough.
Had one of the nicest experiences I've ever had at a store on Port Jeff. Staff was super helpful and patient while I looked into different kinds of teas. They were closing up when I was heading into the store, I even insisted it was okay I could come back another day and they said it was totally fine and answered every question and didn't make me feel rushed at all. Very personable and sweet. Will be going there for each tea restock:)
Nice little shop. Lots of spices and teas....you can smell sample jars before you buy. I was visiting the area the day we shopped there. Kind of far just to purchase spices and tea.

Everything I have ever purchased here has been amazing. Spices and teas are always very fresh and flavorful. Huge selection of both teas and spices, along with some really cool accessories for purchase. The employees/owners are always so nice and so helpful. I love trying a new spice blend every time I go!

Stopped in this wonderful boutique shop for some teas and to check out the spice offerings. The young woman behind the counter was sooo friendly and pleasant while she made my tea. We had a nice chat while my tea was steeping. I had a very delicious ice rooibos tea which we took back with us on the Connecticut Ferry. Highly Recomended!
