What a treasure this place is! Couldn’t wait to get home and use the Bourbon Black Walnut Sugar sprinkled on a bowl of oatmeal. It was delicious ! The owner Bill was super friendly and also suggested a Cranberry Apple Honey as well as offering me to take in the scent of Warm Bread Pudding Black Tea. Sold! I will be back…often!

I went into The Spice & Tea Exchange hoping to recreate a lovely jasmine tea I had during afternoon tea in the UK last year. Bill advised me on the tea and equipment I would need and he thoroughly walked me through the process of making it! I came home prepared with the materials and knowledge to make the tea and it came out just as I remembered! Will definitely be returning. I cannot recommend this shop enough.

Had one of the nicest experiences I've ever had at a store on Port Jeff. Staff was super helpful and patient while I looked into different kinds of teas. They were closing up when I was heading into the store, I even insisted it was okay I could come back another day and they said it was totally fine and answered every question and didn't make me feel rushed at all. Very personable and sweet. Will be going there for each tea restock:)

The Spice and Tea Exchange is a world of tea and spices unlike no other. This establishment compliments the quaint atmosphere of Port Jefferson with its village-like, rustic appeal. I'm amazed at the myriad of teas and spices the Tea Exchange has to offer. I especially love how they take basic spices like mustard or pepper and add their own twist to create something more flavorful! If you are overwhelmed and unsure of what to purchase, you can get an idea of the products by ordering a tea at the tea bar. I encourage anyone in Port Jeff to stop by, it's a must!

Everything I have ever purchased here has been amazing. Spices and teas are always very fresh and flavorful. Huge selection of both teas and spices, along with some really cool accessories for purchase. The employees/owners are always so nice and so helpful. I love trying a new spice blend every time I go!

Stopped in this wonderful boutique shop for some teas and to check out the spice offerings. The young woman behind the counter was sooo friendly and pleasant while she made my tea. We had a nice chat while my tea was steeping. I had a very delicious ice rooibos tea which we took back with us on the Connecticut Ferry. Highly Recomended!

The cutest tea and spices shop. They were offering samples of their “strawberry clouds” iced tea and it was soo good, I had to buy a large to go order. Hit the spot. The place is adorable and offers every type of spice and seasoning that you can imagine. I will definitely be back, great way to spend some time while waiting for the ferry or walking around port Jefferson Nay.

Port Jeff has changed so much from when I use to frequent it more than 10 years ago. So when I went back for a visit, it was like visiting a new town. Walking around those familiar streets seeing new storefront made me so excited. I was even more excited about when I stumbled upon this shop! As a non-coffee drinker, it's really hard to find a place that has good tea for a reasonable price. I've actually been cold brewing my own tea at home as there just doesn't seem to be a variety/an option for this when I go out and about (more specifically unsweet and decaf cold brew tea) . I walked in and it was like I was in heaven. there's a whole wall of loose tea and the selection is amazing. From different chai teas, to a plethora of green tea you have your pick and I don't think you can go wrong with whatever you choose. Across the wall of tea is a counter where a staff members can make a tea for you! Just past the teas is a wall of different spices and a bunch of different salts. I didn't investigate this area too much because I was entranced with the tea. The staff here is just as incredible as the tea as they saw I was carrying my leftovers from lunch and offered to hold it at the counter for me. Literally can't wait to cold brew these teas and will try to head back out here soon to stock up soon!

Nice shop with candles, salts, , teas, spices, Sugars ...has all kinds of nice gifts beautifully wrapped and presented. We shopped in the same store in Winter Park and get points in their system but each is owned separately. A lot of nice things to look at and purchase.
