Service was absolutely awful, but once you flagged the waitstaff’s attention and ask for the bill, they give it to you right away. Want more drinks? Good luck with that. Trying to wave the waitstaff for more water is a chore in itself. Finally I decided to yell across the restaurant to get the guy’s attention…and it also made a few patron heads turn. Food was mediocre this time, we’ve been here before and recall it being better. Thank you, but we will not be returning.

Loved the outdoor seating area here. The atmosphere is laid back. I like that it is near the water. The food is very good. I had the Shrimp Basket which is not uncommon but what was different was how lightly breaded it was and I loved that because some places use to much breading. The service is good and the prices are super reasonable. If I didn't live so far from here, I would visit more often.

1st time dine at Steam Room by friend's recommendations. Foods are outstanding overall. Reasonable prices.

Sangria was terrible. Ordered crab cake sandwich was a flat patty with fake crab meat. I ordered a lobster roll which came warm no seasoning with butter sauce I never would have ordered it they don't make a cold one. Don't waste your money. So many other places to go to.

The food is GROSS here. Seafood is not fresh. And the owner is a jerk. Just avoid at all costs. There are dozens of better places to get seafood in Port Jeff.

They don’t cook the food. The trump sign next door is theirs.

This place is definitely capitalizing on their proximity to the port, which offers a nice view of the boats... but that's really all they have going for them. Otherwise, it's dingy, including broken chairs and super dirty bathrooms, and the food is mediocre at best, but mostly pretty tasteless. Later I noticed they charged us for a pitcher of tap water!! Definitely won't be coming back here.

Great vibes and you can’t go wrong Fish and Chips at this place. Also the cuban sandwich is a pleasant surprise!

Great seafood. I have been coming here since the 90's. My only gripe is now they have table service whereas before you stood in line, ordered, paid and were called when your order was ready. I never had a problem with that process. I don't know why the change. Obviously, with table service comes tipping and ultimately more money spent. I am not stingy and I tip generously when I eat out and get good service (which I did). However, I prefer the old way I used to order my food.

used to be a lot better. Service is really bad and slow, had to ask 2-3 times for waiting staff and the 4th time was the charm. fried calamari are nothing like on picture at all with no batter at all on them. poor beer pour with no carbonation. waiter are really not paying attention to customers at all.

Parking is very easy for the restaurant. It’s right next to a fun candy and ice cream shop. We sat outside in a nice shady spot. The service was not great. We had to ask for silverware and plates a number of times. Anything we asked for took a while. The location is great.
The food was tasty and priced reasonably.
If service is not important then you will like this place.

Definitely not dog friendly. They wanted me to stick my dog under the table and then when we left, they had a smirk on their face and thanked us. Would not recommend if you have a dog
The crab legs are not fresh, and the foods are totally not worth it

I used to love this restaurant (been going for over 30 years) but a few things have changed and not for the better. I miss the counter service. Even though all of the waiters and waitresses were super nice they are dressed way too warmly and fancy and in black on hot sunny days! I also don’t like that the original casual,, comfy, counter service Steamroom is trying to be fancy now. If you want to make your restaurant better bring back the better food for example the calamari (I don’t want to bash the Steamroom too much but they know what I mean) and my favorite seafood bisque (way too sweet this season). Please go back to your original ways of service and cooking and please let these employees go back to wearing t shirts. Your restaurant is a legend! Please don’t end up like the Good Steer. Bring back the old Steamroom.
Dietary restrictions: Seafood bisque, sweeter than in the past.
