Steam room old owner and new owner is good eats. Except I like the old owners ways better because they had different days for different special sales. I do miss that and I’m sure I’m not the only one. But new owner Steamroom is still good food ??

This visit was awful. The new england clam chowder was sour and the crab legs was so over done and cold. 1 lemon for three backed clams was a joke. And they never gave napkins. Oh and utensils look at them closely. 2 of hours looked like boogers was on it. This place is becoming more of a dis appointment.?

My first impression of this restaurant was, the people who work there is absolutely amazing. The host Joe gave us a warm welcome made us feel comfortable. The resturant manager was great he checked in us and made sure we had everything we needed. The waiters and waitresses were great as well. The food came out in minutes, the food was fresh and delicious. We got Po Boy crawfish and Po Boy shrimp Roll. From the kids money we had order fish and chips.I really liked this restaurant and I’d come back to try the lobster roll and see the great people who work there.

We had an amazing experience as a family. They were so accommodating to our children. The manager, Faiz, was so kind & lovely. The wait staff was helpful and patient. The food was incredible to top it off! We will absolutely be visiting there more!

Used to be great for outdoor dining, especially being dog-friendly. Now that they've changed to a full-serve waitstaff, it's hit or miss whether or not you get good service, or served at all. Waited 15 minutes for a waiter to take our order and that was only after I asked someone for a waiter. They weren't even too busy and the waiter that was finally brought over to the table had previously passed by at least 4 times without acknowledging our existence.Would be much better off if they go back to ordering at the counter, giving you a # for your table and just had the servers bring your tray of food/drinks over.

I’m going to be honest, I’ve been coming here since the 90’s as a kid. I always looked forward to the baked clams or the clam strips. You paid per baked clam and you ordered at the window and brought it to your table when it was ready.I moved away from NY in 2006 but have come home so many times during this time. I always tried to make a stop here. It’s been about 4 years since my last time and I have to say…what happened to this place? Now it’s just like any other restaurant with table waitstaff. I’m guessing new ownership? There was one main gentleman policing the entrance and telling people which way to go, he actually shouted at an elderly gentleman a couple times. I would’ve just let him walk in however he wanted instead of making a issue of it, but that’s just me.Our waiter was very nice but that gentleman policing the entrance seemed very anxious. Our lemonade was basically lemon water. No sweetness at all. I didn’t complain. Our appetizer came out at the same time as our lunch. Our lunch wasn’t hot but the appetizer was. The food was fine but I was surprised that now the only way to get baked clams here is to pay $10 for the 3 clam appetizer. That’s a little high, in my opinion. All in all…was saddened to see what’s going on at one of my favorite places to visit when I come home.

Lord have mercy Terrible with a capital T, they served giant no flavor oysters and the lobster rolls were dry as a bone with no flavor, and also had to ask for cocktail sauce and horseradish? But our waiter was great, avoid this food

This seafood restaurant is located at Port Jefferson, Long Island. The atmosphere is good and I like the green house which is warm, and can enjoy the sea view. The food are delicious yet not too expensive. The seafood pot is tasty and the fish platter is excellent. The lobster roll is ok and the market price today is $26. The salad is good too.Parking: N/A

I usually get a fresh flounder fillet on a bun to go very reasonably priced it's fresh fish and it's only about $11. You go to McDonald's and you pay that much for two little pieces of frozen fish.

Steam Room in Port Jefferson This was the worst example of customer service I have every had to deal with. I ordered a simple flounder fillet dinner and waited over an hour for it . We sat down at 4:02 and they brought my order at 4:30 and it wasn't what I ordered . No apology no real acknowledgment whatsoever. I specifically make sure to repeat my order to the server and say I wanted a FRIED flounder. Well another half an hour goes by and they finally bring out the next order and that's also wrong.! This was after going up to the counter multiple times mind you. Now we decide we aren't waiting for the 3rd order to come out ( I don't have that kind of time ) we ask for the manager (who was standing 5 feet away) and he ignored us. He finally turned around and we explained the situation and he basically looked at us like we had 2 heads. So my husband proceeded to tell him that he should have come over to the table and made sure the 2nd order was right. So I'm done at this point and I said I'm not waiting another 1/2 hour for the 3rd order! I have work in the morning ! Then the cashier rings up the order and tells my husband that will 58.00 . She charged us for the 2 dinners. now my husband raises his voice and says I'm not paying for my wife's 2 wrong meals ! Still no engagement from the manager my husband suggests we shouldn't be paying at all after this horrible experience. With that the manager sheepishly agrees with my husband. With that we walked out and we proceeded up the road to the Burger King. The customer service was excellent was greeted with a very happy cashier and my order was right the first time! The manager of the Steam Room should be taking customer service tips from the cashier at Burger King ! Rant Over!
