I had lunch on a Monday afternoon. The restaurant was nearly empty as it was the off-season on a very cold day. I chose the table by the window with a view of the street. My waitress, Caitlyn, was excellent. I had the giant pretzel with 3 dips as an appetizer and the fish and chips for the entree. Both were delicious. The shoestring fries were a welcome treat. They have an extensive list of beers on tap. I had the New Belgium Fat Tire Ale, which was very good. Caitlyn timed the courses well yet was not oversolicitous. Portions are generous and I was given to-go containers when requested. Prices are somewhat high, but given the great location, it's understandable. Would definitely return!

Awesome service! Awesome food! It was the Dickens Festival and even though we had to wait a bit it was totally worth it. Once they got us inside we were waited on, served within 20 minutes with hot melt in your mouth Tommy Burgers and ice cold beers. We never felt rushed and even had time for a second beer before hitting the cold air again. The concierge, our server, and every person we had contact were bright cheerful and wished us happy holidays when we left.Can’t wait to have a reason to go back

Went on a quaint sunday afternoon to watch the jets. Jack's service was incredible. Even half a Jeffery gets me right. No comment on the bathroom.
One of the best places in port jefferson. The staff is amazing and so kind and sweet. Definitely check it out.

We brought a very large group to Tommy's Place last night and the staff were absolutely wonderful! They helped us out with everything we needed and were friendly and professional and accommodating the entire time. Great place to bring a party. The food was great and service was quick despite the bar being quite busy.

My wife and I sat down at the bar here…and that was it. We went out to watch football and enjoy some wings (their food is actually very good) but we’re greeted by a young lady behind the bar that decided to ruin the relaxed atmosphere we walked into. As we sat down - the bartender took it upon herself to discuss her personal outlook on controversial matters we face in this country. I’m all for freedom of speech. Feel as you will. I’m also a business owner and would be VERY upset if one of my employees made potential customers leave by openly saying offensive remarks about their opinions. I’ve always condoned myself in a professional matter and believe that should always be. Call me old fashion but that’s just something I think helps. We were willing to spend a good amount of money on drinks and dinner. We decided to leave due to this individual. Does it matter to you or the restaurant? Maybe not. I just think we all can agree that you go out to enjoy yourself and not feel segregated off an establishment. Is what it is. This review is due to the fact that I’ve gone here a lot and this was the 1st time in a long time I’ve had to walk out due to an employee’s behavior. I’m sure this won’t be perceived well but…This was OUR experience today. Other than that - great food.

I stopped here for a working lunch (or on my time a working dinner) recently and I found it quite to my liking. I got great vibes from the place overall. Very attentive staff and very nice clientele. Most importantly, my food was excellent - comparable to restaurant quality food from a pub. I was graciously enjoying my lunchdinner when all of a sudden in walked a creepy guy. He was a village constable walking around as if he had the full authority of the president and a 12 incher in his pants (but his attitude clearly reveals the opposite). He started eyeballing me like I was going to be his next weggie victim on the playground. Absolute disgust from this guy, and he did it to most of the male patrons in the room. I actually felt threatened, like he was one word away from trying to knock my head from my neck. I would imagine that the females felt even worse in the presence of such a malevolent character. He proceeded to approach the bartender and harass them for 10 minutes, only to be handed a magic paper and told to buzz off. He did buzz off, but not before shooting me daggers from his eyes once more on his way out. I hope that the town does something about wicked men like this working for them. I bet this guy has dreams about putting another male in handcuffs - that should say everything about his personality. Bet he failed the police exam too! LOL! Shout out to the surfer dude who served me he was cool AF. Also, sorry for bombing out your bathroom. "It" happens, as the statement says. Very clean and well maintained bathrooms, though I would suggest using a better (and as I understand more expensive) form of commercial toilet paper. They had some interesting pamphlets stuck in the door in that stall. I recall reading one from a place that teaches pro wrestling. How cool is that? It took me a minute to figure out how to do a courtesy flush from those commercial toilets that just flush for as long as you push the button but once I got into my rhythm it was a very comfortable and peaceful bombing. I would love to come back here for more food or even some drinks next time I come through town on a freer day!
