Have tried The Erie at several random days/times and really want to support local business. But I find myself no longer able to support this establishment. It's a cute dated establishment. Lots of wood, some photo pieces of local history, and a bio on the back of the menu telling you about the family you bought the place. Service seems to be particularly bad. The wait staff seem to struggle to smile unless they're hanging out at the bar gossiping about fellow coworkers. Never been to an establishment where employees trash talk each other out in the open without even a hint of discretion. Also, speaking of loud what's with 'Parental Advisory' music coming out of the kitchen at a family restaurant?! The food is meh. The price points are mildly out of hand. Nothing you'll find yourself craving. Nothing you'll be raving to family or friends about. Cleanliness... You'll see bus buckets sitting around you for an hour or more at times. What are they wiping the tables with? All I've ever seen are old food containers with rags in them. Dust in a lot of places. I've been here well into the night on more than one occasion for the biggest drinking days of the year. We're talking a packed house with anybody just able to walk through your staff only areas just to get to a bathroom, attempt to get the attention of a bartender, or exit the building. Your walls, ceilings, floors, and fixtures/equipment really need to be cleaned. That kitchen is really in need of some TLC.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and the bar was the good kind of relaxed late at night. Reasonably priced for the middle of town and right next to the NJ transit station

This past Friday my Son and I visited this restaurant for the 2nd time for lunch. The first time was 3 years ago. We found it to be as good as we remembered and definitely enjoyed ourselves. We ordered a bottle of Josh Cellars cabernet, which was average. Foodwise we ordered prime rib, which came with choice of potato and soup or salad. I had onion soup, and my Son had the salad. All of the food was quite good, and the portions were rather large. My only issue would be the slow service. It took a while to get our food. The restaurant is comfortable with both tables and booths and a bar area. It was pretty busy at the time we were there. If the opportunity presents itself, I would definitely return.

We were a party of 3 first time there and in the area we sat on was a VERY loud party at a table in the back. We could not hear each other talking to each other. When we complained we were ignored. Our food came to the table one was cheesesteak tacos they were cold told the waitress she just smiled walked away. ordered a margarita raspberry was clear no taste again said its right! the other margarita was my 2nd one ,first was fine mango this one was was just no flavor. Went to the bar and had it replaced. Not much customer service disappointed.

This location had a wide variety on the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious. This restaurant came by way of recommendation and now I send the recommendation on to the next visitors. The service was timely and the portions were just right.

We had an anniversary party at the Trackside Manor - Danielle was the best! We asked for a taco party and they delivered. The food was terrific, as well as the service. Many venues charge a fee just to use their place but the Erie has a very reasonable per head charge that includes whatever you decide for it to include with no extra fee just to use the venue. Highly recommend having your party here!

I don’t know why the restaurant can get it’s No 1 recommended restaurants in the area. I guess maybe it is only because there are only three restaurants? The food was very bad and the bar server lady was rude. My friends and I plan to meet in the restaurant and I arrived 1 hour late. I ordered a pizza to go because they finished eating. The food was horrible. I know it takes time to bake pizza and we were outside checking the stores around. I was back to pick up my order after around 20min and expect all food and drink should be ready. But hell no!!! I was been stalled for a good 15min because there is only one person who was behind the bar can pour me a cup of apple juice to go…(uh…I gave you 20min to pour that apple juice!!) She was busy talking to two guys and pour them beer while she clearly knows that my apple juice was ahead of the beer. After 10min, she finally has mood to pour my apple juice, the juice was not enough, so, she needs to go to kitchen to grab a bottle of new. And on her way to the back, she stopped and talked about me with her manager in front of me rather to get a new bottle of apple juice!!! I don’t know if it is because I am an Asian woman that I got treated like this. But after another extra 15min waiting, the pizza, the chicken nuggets, and the fries become so disgusting. Glad I did not tip them!

Food was good, bartenders were awesome, a bit bright and loud for my tastes, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.Parking: On street parking, tough when it's busy, easy when it's not.Kid-friendliness: Kids are good there early on, I wouldn't keep them there all night.

Quaint hotel interesting historical pictures. Service passable, food seems OK Big problem is the place really really needs a good cleaning. Now wondering if all the booths, edges of tables, and every flat surface is dirty how is the kitchen Had to add a star to post review
