Stumbled upon this gem while in the area from Long Island, and wow! The food is amazing, delicious and fresh! Would absolutely frequent this place if we lived locally so if you live here and haven’t been, well, run and try it now!

Good spot. Wasn’t sure what to eat in the area since I came down for phantom. This came up with really good reviews. No inside seating but there are 6 tables outside to choose from. The food slapped hard. The blt was good and the sausage and peppers sandwich was major. Good spot for food.

We stopped here on our road trip with our kids over spring break. This is not a dine-in establishment but there are a few tables outside the storefront. After placing our order the employee told us she would bring the food to our car. All the food we ate was delicious! The time it took to make the food had the illusion of being a tad slow, but it’s because it’s made fresh and we were waiting in the car (just feels like it since you’re not sitting down inside the establishment). I had pasta with peppers and Italian sausage. The sausage tasted fresh or homemade. It was great! We loved the pretzels with cinnamon sugar butter, and the salmon dish of the day. The mozzarella sticks our kids shared were perfect! Our daughter also loved the bread rolls that came with our meals. I recommend if you’re wanting to try a local business instead of a chain.

We're visiting from Charlottesville, VA & we decided to give this a try since we had a long drive up today. This food is incredibly delicious! What a wonderful added treat to our weekend getaway! After reading the owner's story online, my wife is telling me that we should both quit our jobs & open a franchise for her in Cville 😅

Had lunch there today, a very scrumptious lunch. Received a warm greeting while checking out the menu, friendly attentive service, reasonable prices. My first visit but one of many more in the future. My take, a “go to” for tasty large servings across a range of tantalizing options.
First time here for lunch today. What a delicious, fresh meal! Had the Crab cake sandwich and salmon tacos, absolutely amazing. Looking forward to visiting again and again!

So glad we found Katery today! We had our dog with us so we were walking around looking for a place with tables outside. We were looking at the menu in the window and a boy opened the door and gave us a menu and a smile! Then another boy came out with water for the dog. We decided to stay because of the warm welcome and the menu had nice choices. I went inside to order. Tiny place- just the counter for ordering- and the kitchen was open, busy and clean. A pleasant woman took our order and recommended the wedge fries. BEST fries Ive ever eaten (and im 62 so that’s a lot of fries). I was told to take a seat outside and they would bring it out. We didn’t have to wait long before three smiling servers brought out my husband’s falafel gyros and my hummus salad with an amazing lemon dressing. Fresh fresh fresh!! A lovely girl Megan came out to check on us. Just a really great experience all around. Since my name is Karen i HAD to speak with the owner (lol) Kate who was busy cooking. I thanked her for own of the better lunch experiences we’ve had ! Her two boys were the ones who greeted us- a family affair. We live an hour and a half away but we will be back! Wish they were closer we’d be there all the time! Thanks Kate and your wonderful boys and staff! (Sorry four stars for atmosphere- you can’t help the size! But very clean!!)
July 21, 2024. We've been back two more times since this review. We live nowhere near Katery's (Summit, NJ) but if we're within an hour of there we swing by. That's because it's one of the best places we've ever eaten at - and I've lived in California, Massachusetts and various parts of NJ and worked in Manhattan. Kate's son said the difference is they create their meals with love. That must be it! Fresh, creative and delicious. I have no idea why other places aren't like this... but happy Katery's is and that we found this special jewel. The food and the staff are the best! (tried uploading photos but having difficulty.) Salmon fish tacos we had for lunch today are the best I've ever had. Potato wedges? OMG... heaven!

Food is all take out. Great for stopping in after work and taking it home. I had the beef stroganoff, geek salad and the tri-dip salad. All were very good. Staff is pleasant and I will come again

The Katery was delicious! We stopped for food on a roadtrip and it was a great spot. Fresh, crisp veggies. Perfectly seasoned food. Helpful and friendly staff. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone passing through town.
