The sushi was very very fresh. The beef and broccoli and shrimp moo shoo had great flavor. Not too strong and not greasy.

The ambiance is great. The staff is super friendly. I love the pork shumai and sushi here. Portion is not bad compared to other sushi places in town.

Ate here the other day and forgot to leave a review but I'll cook up one now. My nephew Bernie came back from Virginia and he loves Chinese food so I brought him to Ruka. Bernie and I both ordered general tsoas chicken. After 32 minutes and counting the food came out and was very underwhelming. We both got a very small amount of our portion and it didn't have the traditional taste I was hoping for. The staff was very nice but overall I had a very basic experience.

GREAT service. Great food. Great lychee martinis! We got the Szechuan dumplings (like spicy peanut flavored), egg roll, fried dumplings, and sushi/sashimi for 2. All delish.

"I am utterly disgusted and outraged by my recent meal from Ruka Asian Fusion Sushi & Lounge, a decision that I deeply regret and vow never to repeat. We ordered General Tso's Chicken and Sesame Chicken, expecting at least a passable rendition of these classic dishes. However, what we received was a culinary abomination. The dishes were alarmingly devoid of any authentic flavor, reducing what should have been a savory experience to a bland, tasteless nightmare. The texture was offensively soggy, a disgrace to any respectable kitchen. With a mix of anger and revulsion, I strongly advise against setting foot in Ruka Asian Fusion Sushi & Lounge. This experience was not just a letdown; it was a blatant insult to anyone who appreciates quality food."

Tried this place twice since they opened. The first time ordered online chicken & broccoli. Broccoli was rotten plus when ordering online 15% is taken off yet she didn't deduct. Second time walked in to order; miso soup and chicken w/ cashews. Soup was soooo bad like dishwater with a ton of salt. Food actually had 6 cashews! Little strips of uncooked veggies which shouldn't have been added. Food of previous owner was very tasteful and delicious not this....

I had sushi and it was super fresh and tasty. I had 2 specialty rolls... the twin roll and another roll in rice paper. I don't regularly take photos of my food but the presentation was beautiful. My friend had chicken teriyaki and she enjoyed it as well. She said it was fresh and tender. It was a Tuesday night and we were the only ones in the restaurant. It is such a pretty space so I'm so surprised no one else is here. You are missing out. Friendly staff, too.

Went in tonight with two friends. The place was actually completely empty except for us so it's like we had our own private restaurant all on our own. We had the Szechuan shrimp dumplings, which were made in the house, and they were so amazingly good, drizzled with hot chili oil. Also had the Kani salad which was nice and the spicy rock shrimp was kind of like a bang bang shrimp. We also had the steamed pork bun, which was very very good. Some premium sake, and some beers on tap. Also shared four different rolls that you will see in the pictures all of which were delicious. We passed up on dessert because we were rather full, but she brought us some pieces of fresh pineapple, which was lovely as an end to the night. I hope more people come to this place as I know I will be going back. It's truly a gem in Port Washington.
