One of the best!!! This no frills Japanese restaurant has one of the best selections of fresh sushi on Long Island. Been many times and will keep coming back. The omakase has a nice selection of high end different selections then your typical sushi places like sweet shrimp, sea urchin, abalone, lobster, elephant clams, squid, as well as your fatty yellowtail, otoro, king salmon. My husband got the omakase and I opted for the regular sushi sashimi combo which was also delicious...

The taste is great and the atmosphere is nice.
There are not many Japanese restaurants in New York that can offer this quality of Japanese food.

The is as REAL Japanese as you get. If you never had a true Japanese sushi, for example, the difference will leave you in awe and you will never want to eat fake Japanese again. On my opinion Yanaguchi is the best Japanese restaurant in the greater NYC area.
