So, I've recently moved to the North Country from central Mass. And after living here long enough to explore the Potsdam-Canton area, I can so confidently and strongly say: Sweet Margaret is an absolute Must Visit spot. Anything you can get, whether it is sweet or savory (the versatility!!!) is top-notch and fairly priced. In case you need a recommendation: if there are custard cream puffs on the day you visit, snag as many of them as you can immediately!!! They are divine. The sit-in area is also lovingly decorated, clean and comfy.

Sushi was on the menu today and it didn’t disappoint! I also ordered a slice of the Oreo /snickers cake. It was very good. The sushi is in the background. (Didn’t get a chance to take a picture of it.) Thank you Sweet Margarets. You can tell when an establishment actually cares about quality and taste of food. This one is it!
One of the best spots in Potsdam! Amazing macarons and smoothies and so many treats to choose from! Beautifully decorated and the owner is so kind and welcoming. Always puts a smile on my face going here and can’t wait to return many more times!

I’ve always walked past this place and wondered if it was ever open! I got lucky today and took my girls in and we are SO excited to now know of a boba place and a place where I can get red bean paste boas that remind me of my time in Hawaii!

the owner’s husband is a professor at one of the local colleges and he’s been bringing in her deserts for his class for years; Sweet Margaret is delicious and made with care as those associated are truly caring individuals.
Dietary restrictions: I’m wheat intolerant and the macarons have never bothered me. Though I’ve never asked, I assume theyre made with almond flour.
