“It's a nostalgic building with lots of history on display that tells a proud story of the Clarkson hockey program over many decades. The seating is good and the food and drinks are very affordable ($2 hot dog). The pep band keeps the spirits high. It's a tough place for a visiting team to win game!”

“Hadn't been here in a month or so. A friend & myself stopped in. My friend order a BLT & I got a Swiss Mushroom Burger. Both came with fries. I asked for medium rare to rare and the waitress said that was fine. But it came as medium well or well done. Since I ordered waffle fries & was not told they were $1 more(which was not a big deal) The burger was tasty and big. Just wish it had been rare like I asked. If they couldn't do it, I would have requested something else. I didn't say anything to the waitress as its the cooks fault. All in all the food is good & we will be back, but no burger.”

“I am absolutely blown away at the goodies we ordered! my daughter had a baby sprinkle and the theme was sprinkled doughnuts. I showed Abby a picture and ordered sugar cookies with pink frosting and sprinkles. SHE MADE THEM TO LOOK LIKE THE DOUGHNUTS! I am soooo impressed and I am so grateful to have them available. Their service is unmatched and I always feel welcome there, they are always delightful when they greet us. Abby you really set the bar high with these! I highly recommend them for any quality DELICIOUS gluten free bakery items you may need! (the doughnut in the middle is a sugar cookie! and the 2 mini cupcakes are also from 3 bears!)”

“I saw something about someone being dissatisfied about the food they were served- I’m just stopping by to let the community know LEES HAWAIIAN GRILL IS MINE AND MY FRIENDS ALL TIME FAVORITE SPOT. Not only is their food healthy and beautiful - but their smiles and customer service are honestly one more thing keeping us coming back. Always being greeted by name- I have never been dissatisfied coming here! I’ll drive 25 minutes ANYDAY FOR THEIR HAWAIIAN BOWLS AND MACARONI SALAD !!!”

“Been driving by this restaurant for years now stop for the first time today had the best food ever they're smashed hamburger meats fresh hamburger meat it was great their fries were awesome everything was hot delicious my favorite sandwich that I had was the French dip it was just tender and delicious bathrooms with spotless and the waitress was sweet as can be and she was right on the money highly recommend this place for the food was unbelievably delicious and their coffee tasted like coffee not dishwater”

I’ve been searching for an authentic Mexican food spot run by a small business, and this joint hit the spot. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the service from the cook and waitress was incredibly friendly. ​You have to try the homemade guacamole—it is easily some of the best I’ve ever had and clearly made with love. I would have posted a photo, but the food smelled so good I couldn't wait to dive in! Highly recommend this gem to anyone in the North Country area looking for a great meal.”

“The best Chinese in the area. And amazing fast service even when they're slammed. We dote on their beef broccoli, chicken lo main and sweet and sour chicken. And with six you get eggroll. And their eggroll is the best. Bustling, stark and bright atmosphere but for take out that's fine as you don't eat atmosphere .”

“This place is a real paradise and its owner is scrupulous. I would give this place and his integrity an absolute Five-Star. Back in March I was looking for a short-term apartment when I happened to read an advertisement on the This Week about the Arlington Inn Apartments. I went to their office, and the landlord introduced himself as Larry, who claimed to be the owner of the Maxfields as well. “He said, “You can rest assured that I will return your last-month rent as long as you notify me at least one month earlier”. After I double checked with him and believed he is a gentle and honest man, I signed the lease with him. In May I learned from my professor that I gotta transfer with him to a new university in NJ in July. On June 1st when I moved in, I told Mr. Landlord about it. His words “I must take something from you” were so serious. I ended up paying the full rent instead of half of the normal price as advertised. Afterwards, he smiled and gave me a firm hand shake. Thank you so much, Mr. Hazen. I felt so impressed by your honesty.

I feel it a shame for Mr. Hazen, since he only bases his business in the North Country. If it were in a bigger city, he would probably have become a billionaire, or even more successful than Bill Gates.

Some comments on my apartment:
The apartment is such great place to stay. Every time I entered the room, a pleasant aroma from the sewage greeted me with no exception. It even beaten my Glade Spray. Another good thing is that it sits on the street where the Maxfield is also located. As a big fan of music, I took pleasure from listening to some bands playing light music and people murmuring. It was a real benefit for a tenant like me. I really wished that the music would not stop. But why it came to an end as early as at 2 a.m. What a shame!

In summary, welcome to the Maxfield and the Arlington Inn Apartments.”

“The wings were super good and very big. I liked that they weren’t stingy with the ranch and give you a good amount of it. The garlic knots were nice and warm. It was pretty packed when I went so, I guess you can say it is a very popular spot.”

“Our first, but definitely not last, time at 1/2 Ton's Bar & Grill. My wife had a turkey club that she said was DELICIOUS! It was made with real sliced turkey, not deli meat. Lots and lots of bacon on it, too! I had the chicken bacon ranch on rye, and it was also superb! A crispy coated real juicy chicken breast. Very good! Overall it was a pleasant first time there. We'll be back. 👍”

“One of the cleanest places I have ever been in for a sub. The lady that waited on me was very nice and helpful. I had the sub of the day which was tuna fish and it was really good. It was loaded with fresh veggies, and the role was very fresh. I can only eat half of it at once. What a deal for $5. Both employees that were there acknowledged me and said hi. I wouldn't get a sub anywhere else, if given the choice.”
