“Continuing my journey through Potsdam eateries after watching Clarkson Women’s hockey, stopped at McDuff’s for the first time. Place is kind of oddly laid out. Didn’t really have the cozy Irish pub vibe. More sports bar. Waitress seemed to on her own with a decent sized crowd which slowed service some.The Buffalo Chicken Poutine app was huge and had a very unique flavor. It had a bit of a kick to it, so if you don’t like hot (spicy) food you may want to pass on this one. I enjoyed my signature Reuben, however the fries weren’t good. Kind of soggy. Grease might need to be changed.They have a few televisions on the wall with various sporting events on and a couple of electric dart boards.“
“I love me a good Turkey Club & Hot Turkey Sandwich, and these guys can deliver on both! I've no photo of the Hot Turkey Sandwich, but trust me when I say it's as good as the Turkey Club! The turkey used in both isn't rubbery, cheap deli meat. It's actual, legit, tasty turkey, and that's unfortunately rare to find, but a welcome option! In addition, their fries are crispy & tasty, the gravy with the hot turkey is tasty, as well. (Other foods I've seen ordered by family, but never tasted myself that looked great is their Taco Salad Bowl special, and Buffalo Chicken Wrap.) Definitely give em a try, even if only for take out!“
“The north country as whole was really lacking in the food department, Jake’s makes it a bit more tolerable. Only ever gotten take out but have really no complaints foods pretty good. Will say it is a bit expensive for what you get, but such is the world right now. If I were to ever go back to Potsdam, and I hope I never do, Jake’s would be my first choice to eat.“
