“I admit I wasn't expecting much. The menu for breakfast is very small but it wasn't crowded and the service was good and the food was excellent. Now - to set expectations properly, this is not a bougie brunch spot with inventive lattes and instagrammable açaí bowls and other cute items. They have a simple, basic menu with breakfast fare. But the food was fresh and tasted good. And prices are unbelievably cheap for such a posh place selling $200 Peter Millar golf shirts across the hall. The ambiance and location is gorgeous. It's in the exclusive golf community of Bay Creek right beside historic Cape Charles and is nestled back past a 24/7 manned gated entry. The building is very pretty and harkens back to huge old wooden and brick barns of the 1890s. Reminds me of something you'd see at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C. This spot has gorgeous windows all around and overlooks the driving range. Vibes are laid-back and restrooms and the Pro shop are located just outside the restaurant. Our server was a very sweet college gal who took excellent care of us and kept the coffee refills coming. The menu isn't large but it has all the basics to take care of business: eggs, omelettes, pancakes, oatmeal, build your own breakfast sandwiches, Benedicts and tons and tons of sides at very fair prices. My husband built his own breakfast sandwich which was ham, bacon, cheese and eggs on a soft warm brioche bun. He added a side of breakfast potatoes and fruit to his order. I chose the more adventurous route and did the oatmeal bar. This is a small bar off to the side of the real bar - a table with a warmed tray of oatmeal and some bowls with almond slivers, brown sugar, dried cranberries and fresh blueberries you can fix and top as you'd like. The oatmeal looked like no one had touched it since they opened, but I went ahead and tried it and it was steel-cut, perfectly cooked, and very fresh. I added a generous portion of blueberries and almonds with a small sprinkling of brown sugar and some honey and it was delicious! I chose to add sides of biscuits, fruit and sausage and all my sides were huge! I got two biscuits and two pieces of sausage for about $2 each as well as a huge bowl of mixed fruit. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality and prices and food here. Would absolutely dine again. Coffee was a bit weak - but that's not a huge issue. Everything else was great!”

“Have had both breakfast and lunch here 4 or 5 times...Breakfast meals were always good with cheese omelets served with salsa on the side, sausage, toast and home fries. Always cooked to my liking. Lunch however has been hit or miss. I always order a cheeseburger with either fries or macaroni salad or regular salad. The cheeseburger is always ordered as medium well-done and is never cooked that way...always comes out over cooked or under cooked... The bun it is served on is so thick, you can hardly get it into your mouth. Please consider going with another bun that is a thinner bun. The salads are often perfect, sometimes with not all the same ingredients included though. Consistency in the house salad would be nice. With the waitresses serving, I would like them to be mindful, that they should check back once or twice during the meal to see if everything is acceptable or if anything else is needed, like a refill. Every time I have eaten here, they walk by the table, and even though I reach out to get their attention, they never return to address my concerns. What is up with that. Retraining by the owner is required. You WILL lose paying customers by customers experiences.”

“We stopped in for a late lunch and were completely satisfied. The buffet was full of delicious and ample choices. The service was outstanding. A bathroom is available to the public as well as a full bar area. The only distraction was a large screen television. This is a top-quality restaurant where many local folks are regular customers. What more could you ask for?”

“Definitely a hidden gem in Potsdam. My husband and I had several excellent and delicious lunches. This is THE place to buy steaks. The steaks are exceptional fresh or properly aged. We purchased aged delmonico which was half the cost from Wegmans. We’ve now had multiple purchases of picanha beef. These picanha beef are most yummy and inexpensive beef. I highly recommend the place for meal or purchase meats.”

“I love grabbing lunch here! They serve vegan food that everyone, even meat eaters, will love. I'm particularly fond of their smoothie bowls. I've also gotten toast with avocado and tomato made with a deliciously hearty bread. I have brought numerous people here to eat and everyone is able to find something they enjoy. The eat-in space is bright and roomy and I've never had difficulty getting a table. If you're looking for someplace where you can get quick food that is absolutely delicious and healthy on top of it, definitely consider coming here.Vegetarian options: Everything served here is vegan.Kid-friendliness: The bright interior space is very kid friendly.”

“I am never disappointed when I get a treat from Hardy's! My personal favorite is a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on the Asiago bagel. The lemon bars and raspberry bars are delicious and don't forget the lavender lemonade! Cody is always so pleasant and Josie always makes sure to come say hello!”

“I can not say enough good things about this place! My father and I stopped here on a whim and the food was so delicious. We order both a bowl of soup, I thought we would get a standard cup and got a bowl of corn chowder that was so flavorful and full to the rim of the bowl. We also ordered two BLT on homemade bread, fresh tomato, and a fresh peice of lettuce! I forgot to add they give you a side of pickles, a bag of chips and if your belly has not be yet satisfied they throw in a cookie! The food comes out so quick. No wait at all.The wait staff was very polite! I got the pleasure of meeting the mother who was telling us that her son and daughter in law opened it and many family members work there as well. Nothing like a family owned business!!I also would like to add that the bathroom was so clean! I always say if an establisment has a clean bathroom then they foreshore have a clean kitchen!I will be surely to reccomend to all of my family and friends! “Went here for dinner with 3 young kids, the staff was considerate and gave them activity sheets to occupy the kids. The food was amazing and came out in a good amount of time! The only downer was one of the hot dog buns for the kids had mold on it. We didn't notice until after the hot dog was gone (bun wasn't touched thankfully). We let the staff know and they were very apologetic, and comped all of the kids meals, not just the one which was very considerate of them and more than we expected. Will definitely be coming back with such amazing food and service!”

“Continuing my journey through Potsdam eateries after watching Clarkson Women’s hockey, stopped at McDuff’s for the first time. Place is kind of oddly laid out. Didn’t really have the cozy Irish pub vibe. More sports bar. Waitress seemed to on her own with a decent sized crowd which slowed service some.The Buffalo Chicken Poutine app was huge and had a very unique flavor. It had a bit of a kick to it, so if you don’t like hot (spicy) food you may want to pass on this one. I enjoyed my signature Reuben, however the fries weren’t good. Kind of soggy. Grease might need to be changed.They have a few televisions on the wall with various sporting events on and a couple of electric dart boards.”
