What a shame for a French restaurant. The restaurant sells a regular sparking wine branded as Champagne. The server told us that if he was the owner he would not do it. The manager listened to me when I told him that he should not sell sparkling wine as champagne, and remained silent. The fish and the creme brulee were good. The ambience is a typical French bistro.

This was a wonderful surprise, my husband and I went in for dinner during our trip and it exceeded all expectations. The service was great, the server was very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. The dinner was amazing, the mussel in coconut sauce appetizer was delicious, unlike anything I’ve ever had. The main dish and dessert were also exquisite. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

It has been a few years since being back here, but it did not disappoint. Staff and food were on point. Love the ambiance here and vibe. Waitress, Natalie stopped by the table right away and greeted us. She was extremely attentive as was the rest of the staff. We had oysters, escargot and liver pate for appetizers. The escargot was lacking some flavor compared to others I have had. They served bread which is always nice to have. For dinner we went with pork loin and octopus appetizer as entree. Pork was cooked perfectly with mashed potatoes and spinach. All delicious and bountiful. Octopus was cooked to perfection extremely tender with greens and an olive tapenade under it. Noah also touched our table and was extremely knowledgeable regarding wine, dinner and how the chef prepares items. He recommended a light pinotage which pared perfectly with dinner. One of my favorite spots in Poughkeepsie for a slightly upper scale experience. Love it here ! My only suggestion would be to wipe down the tops of the booths. You can see the build up of dust.

What a gem in poughkeepsie! I never would have expected this place! The food is absolutely amazing and so was the service! I've never been to a place where they take your food when you go to the restroom so they can keep it warm! The ambiance is fantastic. The food selection is exquisite. A little shocked that they didn't have non-alcoholic beer but that would not deter me from going again. This will be a new spot for me. If you're looking for a place to go solo or a romantic date, this is the place for you.Parking: There is a lot across the street but there's also plenty of parking on the street. I believe before 6:00 p.m., you have to pay but afterwards it is free.

The food at this restaurant is lovely. We had the Caesar salad (they have a very interesting take on it with a sardine infused dressing, it was delicious), lobster bisque, French onion soup, seared scallops, and beef Wellington. The vibe inside is Parisian-esque, very classic and intimate. I had a slight issue with the service...the food came out incredibly fast but our server had a bit of an attitude, at first I thought it was in my head but I noticed he was much friendlier to the table next to us. It almost seemed as if he was in a rush with us? When I made a positive comment about the food he was so blank so I just stopped. I'd definitely return to this restaurant, overall the experience was great just hope to have a different server next time!

The place was packed with people enjoying a meal before a show at Bardavon, so the energy was high and you could tell the staff was huddling to make sure everyone was being taken care of. Our server was wonderful and made sure we were taken care of. The food was great (salmon and scallop dishes w side of spinach), wine choice nice and warm upside down cake was delish! Overall a very pleasant meal and experience!

As always, everything at Brasserie 292 was excellent. It's a charming atmosphere with excellent friendly service (and staff) and delicious food (with many varied choices). We've been there several times and each time is perfect. We live an hour away so we don't go as often as we would like but we always have an excellent experience.

What an amazing restaurant , atmosphere , food & service!! We couldn't have asked for better. Truly the best restaurant we've had a meal up here in 25 years !!! The specials were spectacular!! The non alcoholic specials were out of this world & our friends just loved there drinks . The whole vibe was Contagious you couldn't help but have a great time !! Our waitress is very friendly. She told us their special which was quite a few. We had order escargot which was missing a piece. We told our waitress and the piece was replaced with additional 2 more. That's was nice. My spinach that came with my trout dish was a bit salty but in general food was

Loved the French Music and the low buzz of a not too crazy Tuesday night. We love the oysters and the NY Strip here and we came back for those. Thanks again

We had a very enjoyable dinner with top notch service from Grayson. My husband had onion soup & the veal chop special. My son & l shared the steamed little neck clams with him having salmon & l had the trout. Everything was delicious. We all agreed that we would go again to Brasserie 292.
