The server had a serious attitude problem, did not make my family and I feel welcomed. Her hospitality was just poor. She acted like I was inconveniencing her time while taking my order. She shouldn’t be a server or come to work if she’s having such a bad day. You’re making your business look bad.

The Food is pretty good, especially the chicken soup I can't dent BUTT as I was paying a ROACH greeted me asking if in paying debit or credit! Absolutely disgusting having roaches right at the register as you're about to pay is Absolutely disgusting and bad for business!!!

Every time we visit Poughkeepsie, we go to Danny’s. Very large, delicious dinners at an affordable price. We have never been disappointed. My brother lives close by and gets his lunch here at least once a week. I cannot choose a favorite, is ALL delicious!!!

I love alcapurias, but his just doesn’t do it. They were burnt beyond belief and tasted nothing like it. Very disappointed, as a boriqua I was looking forward to some good Spanish food. I will keep looking.
I also tried the lemon cake another time that was great also.

Have passed this place a gazillion times and never dared to step in. Well, that was a horrible error on my part! Very meat-centric, but I opted for a plate of rice and red beans with some sweet plantains on the side - and was rewarded well. A big steaming plate for $8. Yes, the place is a dive but that is kind of the point. The people were super friendly and service was quick. Mind you, it wasn't exactly hopping but I'm not sure why. My dining compatriot, who has no issue with being carnivorous, did the same as I did with a nice big helping of pork on top it all and he was super happy. Will definitely be back.
