Mixed feelings about this spot. On the positive side, the food was solid – not amazing, but well-executed and tasty. The setting was nice and we had a pleasant time. Unfortunately, the prices really hurt the overall experience. Paying $40 for liver and rice felt excessive, especially when you have been preparing and eating it all of your life and liver generally costs less than $5.00 per pound. I might return if they adjust their pricing, but for now it’s hard to see the value.

Mac and cheese is worth the wait.

Went here expecting good southern BBQ and left mad, hungry, and confused. The wait time was absolutely ridiculous—over an hour just to get cold food that wasn’t even seasoned right. $25 for a tiny plate with barely any meat? Be for real. The turkey wing was dry, the mac tasted straight from a box, and don’t even ask about the cornbread—hard as a brick.
Service was slow, staff looked overwhelmed, and the vibe felt like they were winging it the whole time. Music was supposed to be a highlight, but they started way late, and by that time half the room had dipped.
Save your money. This ain’t soul food—it’s stress food.
Some of the best soul food in the Hudson Valley! Collard greens are perfect 👌 Yams taste like my childhood and this corn bread is unbeatable. Oh I forgot this fried chicken extremely crunchy seasoned perfectly not dry 10/10

I had the privilege of coming to Geneva's Blues House for a closed event. The food was served family-style. The food was hot and soooo good! Service was amazing and so was the music. I wish I lived closer to come here more often!

Very slow and inattentive. Pretty sure they forgot my order and they seemed vaguely annoyed that I was there to pick it up
I can't say enough about this place. I got fried chicken with waffles. I've never had such delicious food. The owner was welcoming and friendly. Ask the owner about Stump! Delicious!!

Live music and great food!
I was skeptical because of some of the reviews. But, I’m really glad I gave it a chance. I had the brisket sandwich, and it was perfect. I could taste the light, mesquite smoke flavor, the sauce, and the flavor of the meat. I usually find most BBQ places over compensate with either too much smoke (meat tastes like an ash tray) or too much sauce. (can’t taste anything except Sweet Baby Ray’s sauce) I was very happy and impressed that this was not the case. The fries were crisp, and the coleslaw was delicious. REALLY great value.
I was pleased to be greeted by the owner, Carlos when I picked up my takeout order. He was extremely generous to offer samples of their homemade sauce and seemed enthusiastic to share his food it made me excited to eat!
I chose Geneva’s Blues House to host my retirement party. It provided an intimate yet spacious setting for my needs. The food was beyond delicious and the presentation was beyond my expectations. The staff were friendly, professional and attentive. I would have an event there again. Definitely a 10 out of 10.
I stopped in while I was at work and figured I’d try it. I was greeted by a nice young lady at the bar.I ordered chopped bbq with Mac and cheese and collard greens. It came with cornbread. The wait was not long at all. I waited less than 15 minutes. Let me tell you it was so good. The flavor was on point. I definitely look forward to eating here again. Thank you for your good service.
