Food is always on point
Best Italian food in Poughkeepsie. Great eggs sandwiches, amazing bread . The to go dinners are awesome , frozen pizzas , and the fresh supply of baked goods . I’ve never had a bad meal from here . The catering is great and the prices are fair . This place has been a staple of the community for as long as I can remember. Family owned , local business , ethical owner , awesome friendly staff at the counter always .
The young male staff were super friendly, polite and have great customer service. You don’t really see this any more. Very professional. Delicious sandwiches. 10/10 recommend.

Delforno's Market Place & Catering is a beloved establishment in Poughkeepsie, known for its delicious food and warm atmosphere. It is not just a restaurant, but a marketplace offering prepared foods, imported specialty items, and baked goods. The sandwiches are a standout, particularly the Italian chicken cutlet and roast beef options. The eggplant sandwich and ravioli from Little Italy are also popular choices. The ingredients are fresh and high-quality, with bread delivered daily. The staff is friendly and helpful. The marketplace is clean and well-maintained, providing a welcome respite. Delforno's is a beloved local gem, serving up delicious and simple food that keeps customers coming back. It offers home made foods available, like pasta and Mac and cheese for grab and go and great sandwiches. They have cold cuts and a small array of produce. They make the sandwiches on the spot. It is your typical ambiance, basically the neighborhood deli. If you’re in the area and want a classic New York deli experience, Delforno’s is a local, family-owned place that’s got that timeless feel. The food is incredible, every sandwich, every side, it’s all so good. The shelves have some Large canned peppers and tomato products from Italy, fresh Italian bread, and a well stocked freezer. The fried scrod sandwich was about $11 and well worth it. The fish fillet was generously portioned, dusted with Italian breadcrumbs and deep fried - not greasy at all. It was very light and flavorful, the round roll was fresh and the perfect vessel for this sandwich.
