Great place for coffee and lunch, but one of the owners ruins the atmosphere with his rudeness. His husband, who's the baker, should tell him to stay home and hire a manager who knows how to handle customers with a better attitude.

Hello, I just visited the bakery today. Two out of the five of us bought something. Then we sat down, my friend pulled a chair up to sit with us. One of the workers told her "We can't have the chair in the aisle", and rudely started to pull the chair out from under her AS she started to stand up. Then, he came over 5-10 minutes later and told us that since three of us didn't buy something those three couldn't sit down and that it was okay at the moment but in the future that wouldn't be an option. He did not say anything nicely. This is not the first time I've encountered this problem here. This is honestly ridiculous, and it needs to improve. The food is good but the service is horrible. I've looked at your reviews and it seems like a general theme is to prioritize seating over anything else. The amount of negative reviews this bakery has on google clearly shows there's a pretty big problem, so I'd suggest fixing it. But as I read the responses to the concerns customers were stating, all the replies seemed to be full of excuses or just demeaning. No one is asking you to change the rules you have, but they're asking you to treat people them with respect. When you come to a bakery where they're pushy and prioritizing the minor things like seating over decent customer service, it really isn't worth coming at all.

breaking news: this honestly is the worst i have ever been treated at restaurants/bakery or whatever this is. usually you go into a coffee shop and the atmosphere is calming, but it was so hostile. i was shook. i’ve never been here before and came with my friends and they were so pushy about buying food which is an automatic turn off. some of my friends didn’t buy food and i was really caught of guard when a worker physically moved my friend out of a chair because she turned it to face the rest of us. like huh? then we were told if we didn’t buy anything, we should in the future not sit down. that should be something stated as soon you come into the store, i’d appreciate it to know i’m not welcome somewhere immediately without all the dillydally, thanks <3

Wonderful neighborhood bakery and coffee shop. Everything is delicious. It's obvious the owners take great pride in their offerings. Can't wait to return!!

No offense, but I had rather little expectation. But this is a real gem. The staff are really nice and they explain literally anything. The store is very unique layout and it makes me wonder how it would look in the summer. The food and drink was very solid. They really know how to bake. It seems, the owner really puts a lot of effort in making the baked goods, and it really shows. Extremely impressive.

We were in Poughkeepsie for one night and decided to stop at Kelly's Bakery for breakfast to start the day. We were promptly greeted by one of the staff who took the time to summarize the menu since we said it was our first time there. I got the avocado toast, which was so buttery and fresh with the sliced vegetables, and the toast itself was very warm and chewy. The lavender latte, which was very smooth, had a good ratio of steamed milk to espresso. Both were very refreshing and warmed me up as it was about 20F outside. I enjoyed the warm ambiance of this cafe. The coziness made me not want to go back outside in the cold weather. It's a place where if I lived in the area I could see myself coming here often. Before we left, I bought some pastries to go to snack on for later. I picked up a croissant, scone, earl gray cinnamon roll and sesame cookie, in which the latter two really piqued my interest because I love the flavor of earl gray tea and sesame. The croissant and scone were solid - the former crunchy yet soft, and the latter not too dry. The cinnamon roll was very strong because of the earl grey tea, and there was also a bit too much sugar on top because it was very sweet. Still an interesting concept, nonetheless. Five stars for being a hallmark to all the qualities of a great cafe - warm service, hot coffee and fresh food.

Great spot! I’ve been wanting homemade bread and found a way to not make at home! Grabbed a multigrain sourdough and so delicious!!! Can’t wait to taste other items on menu! Staff was so kind and friendly too. The place has a great feel.

We stopped in since it was close to our physician. There is a parking lot available which is convenient for that area. The inside is very chic and modern. Great flower decor and interesting menu. As we entered, the host was gracious and saw we were struggling with the menu. They were patient and gave us all their recommendations. I ordered a vanilla flavored latte and Liz ordered a decaf cappuccino. They were great! I ordered the tuna toast and Liz ordered an another toast reminiscent of a pizza. It was fresh and flavorful. The tuna had too much mayo but other than that this place was worth it.

PEANUT FREE CAFE??? AMAZING! I went here last week with my mother in law (she loves this place!) unsure if I would be able to get anything other than a drink because we couldn't call beforehand to see how safe they were for peanut allergens. To our great delight, they recently became peanut allergen free!! I know of only two other bakeries/cafes where I can safely eat the baked goods because they take eliminated peanut allergens. In celebration I got a chai tea latte with almond milk, cinnamon bun, and a breakfast sandwich. All were very good and I am STOKED to find a cafe in the area where I can eat safely. I do wish that you could call ahead, but this is a nice little place to get your morning caffeine pickup and nom on some tasties. The staff are also super friendly! I would give this place a 4.7/5 stars.

Fantastic little place for fresh pastry & breads, breakfasts, and drinks (not just coffee based - the lemonade & teas are delicious, too).
